Finding Maze

' Know Thy Enemy'

(Third person)

Gretchen stood in the door way, staring at Miley pouting and typing. She was furious with her for killing Bash. She entered the room, as Miley looked at her. Miley stared at her for a while and turned to the computer.  She was unbothered by her presence.

" I am not here to kill you " Gretchen said, not meaning a single word.

" funny, how I am supposed to say that " Miley said, not glancing at her. Gretchen gritted her teeth and was about to pounce on her, but Miley moved back and kicked her knee. Gretchen hit the table and fell. Miley grabbed her by her hair and lifted her face to make her look at the computer and placed a knife on her neck.

" where are Haze's files? " Miley asked calmy.

" like I am going to tell you " Gretchen spat, smiling showing off her blood covered teeth.

" look, Bash died by serving this gang. I suggest you do the same " Miley gritted, clutching her hair tightly.

" you are a heartless monster " Gretchen gritted.

" I have been called worse by the people whose opinion I value "

" I bet that list is small " Gretchen said, chuckling. Miley banged her head to the table and pressed the knife a little harder to her neck.

" you will have no luck, we all are going to die anyways " Gretchen said.

" and why is that, Miss fatalist? "

" this building is on fire " Gretchen said and kept her hand on Miley's and said" I have no life without him, better to be quick than burn " with that she sliced her throat with Miley's hands. Miley clenched her jaw and pushed her to the side. Miley started going through every coding she ever learnt to find Haze's files even if it meant wasting her brain cells on it.

" The building is on fire " Caleb said, as he held Tyler tightly.

" dammit" Haze muttered and pointed the gun straight to his heart. Right when he was about to pull the trigger, the whole building shook like a massive earthquake had erupted , it and pushed everyone to the side. Given the chance of escape Tyler managed to run, but ended up falling down the building. Only then did Haze realize one whole part of the building is going to collapse.

" fuck fuck " Haze yelled." we have to leave, Caleb. It's gonna collapse this whole building is burning the other one is starting to burn. We have to fucking leave"

" what about Alex and Axel, they are in the other building. Vincent and Nicole are downstairs " Caleb said. Haze looked around the room full of buzzing computer and looked at the wire hanging around the edge of the wall which exposed to the burning world down. Haze quickly gripped the thick wire and pulled it twice to make sure it didn't break , he looked down to see how far end the wire would go. It reached only a meter above the growing fire.

" Caleb take this and go down " Haze said.

" to the fire? " Caleb asked.

" no " Haze muttered and gripped the wire in his hands and walked to the far end corner of the broken, shaking room ." take this wire and swing, you will reach the opposite end and leave the wire you will fall on the hard ground and may fracture your bones but don't stop, find Vincent and Nicole". Caleb nodded and took the wire and stood in the corner and before swinging, he called " Haze". Haze looked around the place, distracted. "Haze" Caleb called a little louder.
