Uraraka
I fiddled with my necklace. It was the night after Deku had died, and I still can't believe it. I didn't come out of my room once the entire day. I didn't have any happiness left to. The necklace was the only thing I had left of Deku, besides my memories. He had given me this necklace on the last day of our first year. "I-I don't like to give gifts that often, but I decided to give you this. S-since you're one of my closest friends, I wanted to give you something. You know, to remember me." That's what Deku had said to me. The necklace was a simple silver chain, with a gold ring strung onto it. A secret to confess: I had a crush on Deku. It was stupid, I know, but I can't help but notice how hard he tried to surpass everyone else. And now, he was gone. Forever. I sighed. It was pointless. Somebody knocked on the door. I walked over to open it, and at the door stood Tsuyu. She said, "I know that Midoriya's death might have been a big shock. I'm always here to talk, though. We're friends, right? Midoriya was also very close to me." Not as close as me, I thought bitterly. I still invited her in, and we sat on my bed and talked. It felt much better to talk to a friend. We talked about our times with Deku, and before we knew it, we were crying. I noticed how much Deku meant to everyone. It wasn't fair... Why did Deku have to die? I could feel the necklace, quivering against my heart, as a last reminder.
Midoriya
I shifted from foot to foot. We were standing in an alleyway, right in front of U.A. "Are you ready yet?" I asked Toga for the millionth time.
She rolled her eyes. "Hold on!"
"Sorry. I'm just so excited!"
"What, to see you're friends again?" She said exasperatedly.
"Yup! They think I was dead, but I wanna show them that I'm alive, and a villain at heart. That'll really hurt them."
She snorted and said, "Shigaraki told us not to be seen."
"I'll just toy with them." I assured her.
She climbed to her feet. "Alright, I'm almost done. You go on ahead."
I casually walked out of the alley, and crossed the street. I continued walking until I reached a tree. I leaned against the tree's trunk, and waited in the shade. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw two bickering people walking my way. I recognized them immediately. The closer boy was a tall blonde with spiky hair. His eyes were tiny red slits and his face was set in a scowl. Kacchan. I vividly remember him. A friend of mine, but also an enemy. The other boy, was somebody I definitely remembered. He had red and white hair that was perfectly split down the middle. His eyes were thoughtful and determined looking. Over his left eye, was a ugly burn. Shoto. He was probably the only person I actually liked. And he wanted to be a hero. They stopped at the tree, and now I could hear their conversation.
"He's dead, you bastard! Accept the damn fact and move on!"
"No! He can't be dead! I promise you he's not dead."
"Get your head out of the sand and open your eyes, Half and Half! You can't change the past!"
"Midoriya's. Not. Dead."
I froze. They were talking about me. I smirked. That hopefulness was intoxicating. I turned around. Shoto turned to look at me. Our eyes met for a fraction of a second, and his eyes widened. His hand burst into flames, while on the other side, icicles pierced through the dirt, almost skewering Kacchan. By the time he could process it, I was already gone, with a small slip of paper in my pocket. I was running back, and I almost barreled into Toga. She looked bewildered. "Where are you going?"
I held up the slip of paper. "I got the school schedule."
She frowned. "I didn't get to do anything. Did anyone see you?"
"Only one."
"Izuku!"
"Relax, Toga. He won't recognize me." I gestured at the many scars that branded my face.
Toga whipped around and marched back to the base. "Did you see that Uraraka girl?" She asked with a hint of envy.
"Nope!" I answered cheerfully. She stiffly nodded her head, apparently satisfied. We found our way back to the base, and delivered Shigaraki his request. Kurogiri frowned. "Back so soon?" I nodded. I couldn't help but be proud of my success. Shigaraki muttered, "Could've been faster." I ignored that last comment and leaned towards Shigaraki. "What's the plan? Don't say you made me do that just for fun."
"We attack each class when they are very far away from U.A. Starting with 3-A. They're going to Hosu City to investigate your 'death'. That's when we attack, and you're coming with us. Either kill everyone, or kill most of the students and recruit the stronger ones. And I swear to god Midoriya, don't run off."
