Todoroki

My cell phone slipped from my hands, and clattered onto the floor, the screen shattering into little shards. Iida and Bakugo stopped bickering and dashed over. Well, correction: Iida dashed over. Bakugo just sulked in the corner. As if by magic, the rest of the class was suddenly there, crowding around and asking questions. My hands were shaking. Partly from shock, partly from happiness. I sank to my knees. I don't care if rest of the class was there, and I don't care that the glass was cutting my palms and knees. I had that image seared into my mind, and I couldn't help but imagine Midoriya laughing over his dead body. Those words...

You owe me one, Todoroki.

Below that was a photo of Endeavor, facedown on the streets with a knife through his neck. The rest of the world seemed blurred to me. Yaoyorozu was calling my name, but it felt like she was talking through thick glass. I shakily got up, my blood trailing everywhere. He's dead. Endeavor. The number one hero. Dead. Midoriya killed Endeavor. Midoriya had always told me how he would never kill somebody, and if he did, he would kill himself. He told me that if I suddenly disappeared, he would search the world and never rest. Now, he's turned into this monstrosity.

Most of that night passed in a blur. I was still in shock, but it was wearing off. We were all staying up late, chatting and just enjoying life. Iida suddenly stood up. I prepared myself for a speech, or some intense hand-chopping, but instead he said, "What's that outside?" As soon as he said that, the entire class rushed over, their noses pressed against the glass. Through the window, I could vaguely make out a boy's silhouette, just standing. The moonlight reflected off his face, and I caught a glimpse of a freckled face, masked with scars. "M-Midoriya." I whispered. Nobody heard me, but Iida gave me a suspicious look. He straightened up and said, "I go outside and see. You all must stay inside, no matter the circumstances. Understand?"

Everyone nodded and mumbled 'okay'. Iida quietly opened the doors, and stepped outside.

Iida

Stay vigilant, Tenya. Don't let down your guard. I walked closer to this mysterious boy. Stay quiet so you don't startle him. Closer, and closer, until I was able to touch his shoulder. Right before I headed out, I had heard Todoroki mumble, "Midoriya." Was this really him? When Midoriya was kidnapped I was devastated. I spent hours and hours, mourning over him. Some people wanted to go find him, but not me. To tell the truth, I was scared. So I didn't follow those people. The boy turned around and I immediately recognized him.

"Midoriya!"

"...Iida?"

"Yes, yes it's me, Iida!"

Midoriya threw his arms around me. I was so happy with relief. After all these years, I could finally see Midoriya again. We embraced for a moment. His body was frail and cold, like a stray cat that hasn't eaten in a long time. Suddenly, I felt something wet splash on my shirt. Huh? It's not raining. I looked down. Midoriya was shaking, and rubbing his eyes. Oh no.... "Midoriya! Don't cry!"

His tears changed into sniffles. "Sorry. What can you expect? I was always the crybaby of the class, wasn't I? Whether I was sad, mad, or even for no reason."

I relaxed. Good. Midoriya pulled himself away from me. "Come inside, you must be freezing." I told him.

Midoriya gave me a puzzled look. "Haven't you kept up with the news? You're inviting a villain into a dorm full of U.A. students, and that's okay?"

Villain. No. Villain. I wanted him to be lying, but his voice was completely honest and sincere. He whipped out a knife. "Well, since I'm here anyways, I might as well kill you." He charged forward, knife in hand. I swerved and dodged, but it was almost impossible. I yelled at him, "Why? How could you? A villain? I looked up to you, like Tensei!"

"That's were you messed up. I became a villain to truly express myself, without the criticism I received here. I wanted to be seen as equal. How do I do that? Bloodshed. And today I'm thirsty for hero blood."

Whatever happened next, I didn't see. One moment Midoriya was a few yards away from me. The next moment, he was right in front of me, knife in hand.

Midoriya

I lunged forward, ready to stab Iida in the heart. At the last moment, a spasm seized me, more painful and powerful than the last. I gasped for breath and crumbled to my knees. My knife clattered to ground beside me. A red haze filled my mind, and black dots danced through my eyes. I writhed and shivered on the ground unable to feel anything besides this agony. I could faintly hear people screaming my name, but I didn't care. I grasped for my blade, but my hands were as numb and cold as ice.

Iida

I saw my life flash before my eyes when Midoriya slashed at me. Thankfully, it only grazed my arm. The cut wasn't deep, and it looked fine. I was more worried about Midoriya. He just collapsed on the ground, and started thrashing like crazy. He was shivering, and coughing up big amounts of blood. I rushed to his side and fell onto my knees, racking my brain for any first aid I ever remembered. I could see the blood soaking through Midoriya's shirt, and it made me nauseous. He struggled to his feet, gasping for breath. With shaking hands, Midoriya grabbed his dagger. "I'll defend myself. Don't take... another step. I'll kill... anyone. We all die anyways. It's only a matter of time." Suddenly, I heard a bang. Uraraka had opened the door, and all the students came rushing out, until there was a ragged circle around me and Midoriya. Midoriya steadied himself, and gave me a cool stare. "Try me. One of you, any of you. Attack me. I'm looking for a challenge, so prove to me you all aren't disappointments."

Nobody moved. I couldn't help but see the Midoriya I once knew in those cold eyes. I would never attack Midoriya. A long silence hung in the air. Midoriya chuckled to himself, and closed his eyes. He looked like he was sleeping. Suddenly, in a flash, Midoriya drew out a knife and hurled it at Toru. It sank into her chest, and the invisible body collapsed onto the floor. Midoriya's eyes were still closed, and he was laughing under his breath. An invisible person... how is that possible? She was behind him, so he couldn't have possibly seen her. He didn't even open his eyes! His movements were so fast, we couldn't even see them. Midoriya's eyes snapped open, and he smiled devilishly. His eyes seemed to be glowing, emitting a green aura. "If you won't attack, then I will." He drew out both of his knives, one in each hand. We all tensed up, ready to fight. The tension was so thick, you could almost feel it. Midoriya sighed. "Well, I'm sorry I won't be able to kill all of you tonight, but I'll try my best."
