Nny and I were out in a little cafe near the book store. I had just gotten off of work and Nny was standing there, waiting for me-which I found it cute.

We sat in the tables inside the building after we ordered our coffee.

"Oh, you know how you said you wanted to read some of my comics?"

He said as he drank some of his coffee. I nodded and played with the lid of my cup,

"Yeah, what about it?"

He pulled out some papers and set them on the table,

"What do you think about these?"

He asked me as I grabbed the cover picture. I grabbed the other papers and I read the short strips. To say the least, they were...odd-but enjoyable!

"I like these!"

I put them back in order and I gave them back to him,

"You said that these were for the homeless insane, right?"

He nodded his head as he took a sip of his coffee.

"they'll love these."

I said as I held his hand. We've been getting closer a lot lately and I'm happy about it.

"You're really good at these comics"

I said as I looked them over once more.

"Thanks."

I finally drank some of my coffee as I pulled out my phone.

"I never thought to ask you about your phone number."

I said to him after he stopped playing with his fingers,

"Oh yeah, that would be much easier than climbing through your window."

We both laughed as he took my phone. He began to press some numbers into my phone. He handed it back to me and I looked the number over.

Hi :)

I sent the text message to him and he pulled out his phone to check it.

Hello (:

I smiled at him and put my phone away.

"So, about last night..."

He looked up for a second before looking back to his cup,

"If I could detach myself from human emotion, I would. Last night was just overwhelming for me."

I nodded, squeezing his hand.

"You need to try getting help."

He nodded his head as he tapped his fingers on the table,

"I know and thanks for helping me. No one really does that with me."

I smiled, drinking some of my coffee.

"Like I said, I'm here for you when you need it."

He smiled as he began to rub circles on the back of my hand. He pulled his hand away and took a sip of his coffee,

"Sorry, I normally don't do things like that."

I smiled at him once more before I traced the outside of my cup,

"That's fine, if you don't like that, say something."

I drank some more of my coffee, taking a longer sip from it. It was silent between us for a second before he started to reach for my hand. He finally held it in his own as I smiled at my cup. I squeezed his hand as a way to tease him.

"Your hand is warm."

I turned to Johnny, seeing him look at my hand. I tried not to smile at how he was oblivious to what he just said. Did he know that he said that out loud?

"Thank you, I always thought that my body was warm because of the way my body preserves heat."

I finished up my coffee, setting the cup to the side.

"Hey um.. this might sound odd, but.."

I could tell he was becoming nervous by the way he trailed off of his words.

"Would you like to see a movie with me this weekend?"

I stared at him for a couple of seconds, slowly processing his words. He was becoming a bit nervous so I immediately perked up,

"Yes! That seems like a good idea to me!"

I said with a warm smile plastered on my face.

"I've been keeping one in mind that I think we'd like."

He scratched his temple, a little agitated.

"I'd enjoy your company no matter what."

He finished up his coffee with a smile. We both stood up to throw away our trash. We walked out of the store as we laughed about a picture I showed to Nny. We began to walk hand in hand, talking to each other as I leaned into his shoulder.

I began to think about how much we had in common.

"Nny?"

He turned his head to look at me as I stared at my shoe,

"Where do I stand with you?"

I still felt his eyes on me, staring at the side of my face.

"I don't know."

It was silent between us once more, becoming real awkward, real fast.

"I guess you stand as my.."

He started but didn't finish. I perked my head up quickly, staring at the side of his face,

"Girlfriend..?"

He smiled slightly before looking at me,

"Yeah, that."

I smiled back at him, squeezing his hand slightly. I never imagined finding out that I was his girlfriend this way but I'll take it.

"Well anyway, how have you been feeling? You know..as of yesterday."

I rested my head on his shoulder as we continued to walk.

"It might sound a bit odd but I feel better around you."

I smiled as he began to rub circles with his thumbs on the back of my hand.

"Cute."

"Don't say that."

I saw him blush as I began to grin.

We arrived at my house, us standing at the front door.

"As always, Nny, I enjoyed your company. Also, thanks for the coffee."

He smiled at me and shrugged,

"It was nothing."

We stood in front of each other for a while. I was looked at the ground for a second before another part of me took over me.

I touched the side of his face and kissed his cheek quickly. His face quickly warmed up in embarrassment. I grinned at him once he touched the cheek that I just kissed.

"I'll see you later, Nny."

He still kept his hand on his cheek, a little dumbfounded.

"yeah..you too."

I smiled, thinking I broke him. I opened my house and I waved goodbye. He waved bye, staring at the floor in front of him. I giggled slightly before entering my house and closing the door. I locked it and I rested my forehead on it for a second.

I began to take off my shoes and set them by the door. I walked to my bathroom and began to take a quick shower. I put on my nightwear, walked to my bed and got inside of it.

I quickly turned to face my wall, hugging my pillow. Today was a fun day and I was glad the person who made it fun was Nny.
