Long ago in the first breath of life a forbidden love formed between sky and land
a love that angered the Air which separated them. When the Sky gave birth to two sons the Wind stole one of the sons burying him Alive in the darkest corner of the earth

the boy felt betrayed by all he was forgotten about and left to lay in watch as his brother became the sun bringing more life into the world
he was left in the sand to rot and eventually vanish. Anger consumed the boy as watched life around him grow and thrive when he became a man he rose from the sands with a vengeance and as his brother the Sun came to rest he rose bringing destruction and death to the land while his brother slept.

he thrived in the tears of man and felt alive as he breathed in the souls of the lost.

He was known to men as the god of chaos and death. all were in fear him..except...

"That's all I know I swear!" Yugi cried "pl please just let me go" he pleaded

the pharaoh rose to his feet gently rubbing his chin

"oh my poor innocent little brother...you've missed the most important parts"

Terror filled Yugi as the pharaoh opened the cage door

"Please Please Noo!"

I awoke to the stale scent of the old room still upset that it was well into the day now the sun had risen high
the room was getting warm and there was only a single window. I slowly walked over and peered out to a dried up courtyard the flowers wilted and sand. buried what remain there.

I looked around the inside pacing as I became anxious I hated being confined to one place. that's why I had made a life outside the palace in the wilderness as desolate as it was it was free I missed that freedom.

"Hungry?" a voice from behind me made me jump

it was the pharaoh a tray of food sloppily prepared was in his hands

he sat down on the lounge chair across from me setting the tray upon an old table. he gestured me to join him. hesitantly I did, I was starving and truthfully exhausted.

I took a a piece of bread trying not to scarf it down though I couldn't seem to help it the pharaoh leaned back comfortably crossing his legs and clearly enjoying the view.

I began to loose my appetite as he stared at me making my stomach turn I finally threw the tray to the ground and walked towards the window agitated

"Why is this part of the palace abandoned?" I asked the silence was the worst

the pharaoh tapped his knee before his eyes darted toward me.

"Its abandoned because its apart of my childhood..it the part my mother and I mostly would spend our days...imprisoned here" his voice trailed off

"Imprisoned?" I faced him now curiously

he nodded "yes..."

The silence in the stagnate room began to overwhelm me

"Could I return...to my quarters?" I asked staring at the door his presence was suffocating

he smirked
"I suppose..if it was you truly wish.."

I glared at him
"what I truly wish is to be out there" I mumbled under my breath

he glanced to the window then his eyes met with mine.

"You shall be my personal servant for one year..and if you follow my every order, if you show me how you've defeated me at each game..."

he stroked his chin

"I shall release you..."

I felt joy for a moment closing my eyes tightly feeling the breeze and warmth on my cheeks once more it had been years I had become a prisoner here.

"Fine" I agreed

The pharaoh smirked

"Alright then...follow me"

I followed the pharaoh to the main hall the same place we had first met, where corpus were piled and blood stained the air.

he sat down in his throne seemingly relaxed

I stood there awkwardly He reached his hand out to me  I reluctantly came to his side

"On your knees" his voice was more stern then usual but I obeyed. The thoughts of running far from this place motivated me in ways I hadn't been in years.

"Much better my dolt pet, I do enjoy how you listen" He smiled

A boy who appeared to be a messenger appeared from the hall catching the pharaoh off guard.

"My Pharaoh, news from the priest he is heading here in regarding to...uhm" The boy

stuttered over his words he had forgotten the full context of the message he was given

"How disappointing"

 the pharaoh said disheartened

 "I dont enjoy killing children"

I stood up "Please dont! hes just a boy!! are you mad??"

The Pharaoh smiled weakly but his eyes were like fire

"get me some water..we have company coming"
