The thief king.. rumors of his terror had spread throughout Egypt. He, the last remaining survivor of a small village on the edge of the desert slaughtered by the pharaoh. A peaceful village of farmers and monks. However.. this man had known to hate, He was known to pillage and burn the small villages along the Nile in the name of revenge. Blood was his passion. Robbing the old pharaohs tombs and desecrating the dead. Many of the poor folk took refuge inside the city walls though that too proved to be a mistake...
"Yugi.." I nudged him my eyes dash around the small room for a way out, trying to find something anything to defend ourselves with.
Yugi glanced back at me giving me a reassuring look.
"how do you know who I am?" yugi asked sternly "How do you know my father?"
the thief king laughed boldly
"well, hmm" he tapped his finger on his chin flashing a wicked smile. "Are your really in a position to be asking questions?"
Yugi clenched his fist though I could tell by his quivering, he too was scared.
"what do you want with us?" yugi's voice lowered his voice almost cracking under from his nerves.
the thief king rubbed his chin, his eyes rabid before reaching out grabbing yugi's arm
"I hear there's quite a large bounty on your heads.." he mocked looking at me directly
My body began to shake my face growing pale. knowing we couldn't go back..not to him..what he would do to us. I would rather die.
"We're not going back to that monster!" I yelled
Yugi glanced back toward me, nodding to me as if he was reading my mind
"Well!" the man laughed "you see! you are my one way ticket to that monster"
Ticket? I thought... to get to the pharaoh?
I looked at yugi he seemed to know what I had in mind.
"We are never going back!" Yugi yelled
as quickly as we could we rushed the thief slamming him into the cold tomb wall a loud thud as he collapsed to the ground.
we quickly clawed up through the tombs shaft only to be met with a team of dirty men smirking with amusement.
"ahh so the little palace rats finally came crawling out!!" one of them spoke up before he spat. the other began to draw their weapons.
"Yugi! were surrounded!!" I grasped at his hand.
Yugi clenched my hand tighter glancing around for an escape
"you couldn't possibly of thought you'd get away?" the thief king staggered out of the tomb brushing the dust off his shoulders.
