Your eyes slowly flutter open as the glaring sun rays are trying to wake you up in the most quiet but most annoying way possible by seeping through your window and covering your whole face.
You close your eyes again as you pull the thick blanket, covering you from your toes to your shoulders. Your free right hand make its way out of the blanket as it begins to slowly carress the empty side of your bed.
The empty side that was once occupied by the man you thought you'll end up with forever.
You open your eyes and stared at the empty side. You're aware of the fact that starting from the day he walked out of the door, you will wake up alone. You won't wake up in his warm embrace that made you feel safe from everything. You won't wake up being pampered with his lazy morning kisses. You won't get to hear his sweet and gentle voice greeting you good morning first thing in the morning. You won't get to wake up in a way where you're used to.
You know that starting from now on, it's only going to be you alone. You're going to wake up without him and that's going to happen again and again until you're used to it. From now on, you will be going through the day without him. It won't be easy at first but as time passes by, things for you will get easier until you can go through the day where he can pop into your head and your heart won't feel heavy anymore just like it is right now.
While you stare the empty side of the bed, you start to reminisce the day he left. You remember everything, every moment and every detail. You remember it all vividly.
"I'm just gonna take my stuff and leave." He said and you never thought that those will be the last words that you will be hearing from him.
He went his way to your shared bedroom, carrying a box with him. You are left standing alone infront of the door.
You didn't want him to leave you alone. You wanted him to stay by your side, just like he always promised. You wanted to say something. Something that can change his mind. You wanted to beg.
But why would you beg? It was no use. He lost it all. He lost the feeling, he lost the spark, he lost the love. Everything that he felt for you faded. It was gone and it's never coming back.
Yeonjun is back from your shared bedroom, carrying his box and his things. He walked past you as if you were never there.
"Gooㅡ"
Before you could even finish, he already slammed the door close. You didn't even get the chance to say goodbye to him. You realized that he didn't even say a word to you or look at you before he leaves forever. He just walked out.
You gulped and blinked, trying to hold back the tears from flowing.
Now, the apartment felt too big. It felt like it was too enough just for one person like you. You felt that there are so many spaces that you needed to fill in but you don't know what and how.
You sighed.
You have no idea how are you going to live without Yeonjun. You were just so used to him being there for you always that it was set to default in your mind that he will never leave.
But now that he left, you don't know what to do. You don't feel like living anymore. You just want to lock yourself in your room and let the days pass by and wait for him to come back.
