"Hey (Y/n) let's go to the town fair!" Rubi exclaims excitedly while you were in the kitchen baking cookies. You couldn't help but try to keep yourself busy ever since you were at Clyde's house, which was literally yesterday. But it felt to you like it's been a week. You invited Rubi over to help keep your mind off the incidents. Mostly to forget the bad one.

"Haha what's brought this on? As long as I've known you, I've never heard you ever wanting to go to a small fair. You said and I quote "town fairs don't spread enough fun like the big ones do."  You laughed as you were rolling the dough into a ball and placing it onto the pan.

"Wellllllll I just think this year we should do something new, after all it's a Valentine's Day themed fair." She smirks while wiggling her eyebrows. You smile while scoffing at her intentions.

"Plussssss you could even go to get some more gift ideas for mr. OH SO HANDSOME!" Rubi flutters her eyelids while smiling at you as her wrists rested under her chin in mid air. You blush hard when you think about Clyde, nearly dropping the cookies before they entered the heated oven but you quickly caught yourself.

Phew thank goodness Clyde gave me the day off today. You thought as you sighed a little in relief as you set the pan down on the stove and fixed the cookies that fell out of place.

"But ever since yesterday night when I spent it at his home...I just don't think i'll know what to do around him. Everytime I think about seeing him now I just can't help but blush more a-and stutter, I haven't even went to see him a-and when I think about giving him his final set of letters..I just know he's gonna realize it's me WAY before Valentine's Day happens." You panicked a little as you turned to look at Rubi while you leaned down. Rubi comes up to you and hugs you once you stood back up after placing the cookies in the oven.

"Hey hey calm down buddy, I'm sure you'll be able to properly tell him you're head over heels in love with him when Valentines Day happens." Rubi said in a comforting tone as she pat your head and rubbed your back. It calmed you down a little as you hugged her back taking in the comfort of your best friend.

"Thanks..what would I ever do if you weren't here Rubi." Rubi then smirks and you look back at her with an eyebrow raised.

"If I wasn't here you wouldn't be going to the Valentine's Day themed town fair! Now get dressed and once these cookies are done we are GOING!" You groan in a playful way but with a smile on your face as Rubi pushed you towards your bedroom to find something nice to wear.

——-a couple hours after baking cookies with Rubi, you both arrive at the fair, (Rubi wearing a black blouse with black pants and matching boots while you're wearing a (favorite colored and style) shirt and dark blue jeans that hug your legs really well and boots as well.) you're both walking around the arcade area——

"Oooh Rubi, Rubi look at that cute stuffed thingy up there! You wanna win that one??" You screeched in excitement as Rubi looked in confusion at the plush toy you were excitedly pointing to.

"You really want that (whatever 2 kinds of animals you want it to be mixed with) thing?" She asks in shock as it wasn't a very cute toy. You nodded and jumped up and down, it was a bean bag tossing game and you gave the man a couple of dollars for the two of you.

"Yes!!!! I want that thingy so badly!" You giggled as the man left to grab the bean bags. Rubi chuckled and at the corner of her eye she noticed Clyde walking around with his family. He looked a bit awkward about it and Clyde briefly looked at Rubi and she waved him over without you noticing. Rubi could see Jimmy pat Clyde on the back and nod him off. Clyde walking towards you quietly as Rubi couldn't help but smirk as he walked closer to you. She made a 'Shhh' hand gesture as you didn't realize he was there.
