Reborn (Bakugo X Reader)

Who is he?

*beep* *beep* *beep*
I hear that noise. It's starting to get irritating. Why doesn't it stop? I open my eyes only for blinding light to hit it. I try to sit up but the pain in my head is too much.

"Stop. Don't try to sit up you will only injure yourself more in the process." I let my head hit the pillow, causing more pain like an idiot. I curse under my breath and open my eyes. I see recovery girl. It looks like i am in her office.

The source of that noise turns out to be my heart monitor. Oh god. Please don't stop.

"Here, take this. I'll use my quirk on you after you have recovered some energy. Till that time some policemen will come to ask you questions."

I nod and take my meds. I wonder what they will ask about. Maybe about the villain at the USJ. Yeah.... I remember now.

OH MY GOD, KATSUKI. I hope he is fine. He better be alive after that. If not, he is so dead. Pun not intended. Who was that villain? Katsuki kept calling him 'Deku' and he kept calling Katsuki something like 'Kacchan'. Where do i remember that name from? What was his quir-

"Miss (L/n). I am detective Tsukauchi Naomasa. I am here to ask you a few questions regarding the villain you faced. Can you tell me what you remember about this villain?" He takes out a notepad and clicks on the pen. He looks at me eagerly. I gulp when I remember the view of what happened to Katsuki. I hate that villain so much. I shudder involuntarily.

I take a deep breath. He is not here. Calm down, it won't happen to you or anyone you know. I look straight into his eyes and say.

"First, tell me about my friend's condition, Bakugo Katsuki. Only then I will talk." He looks taken back but composes quickly. After a short silence he gives me the answer.

"Bakugo is....in a somewhat stable condition. We don't know his mental condition since he hasn't gained consciousness yet. So, if that satisfies your questions I need your description on the villain." I look at the bed sheets. Somewhat stable huh. It means he is alive but he hasn't gained consciousness. I look back at the detective, he won't give me any more information so it's useless to try. Sigh. I guess I should tell him about my encounter.

"Well, this villain who did that to Katsuki was someone who looked our age. He wore a white shirt with a waistcoat and had green with purple at end hair. I first saw him when he walked through the portal and again when we came out of the building in the collision area. He looked like he was waiting for us, especially Katsuki since he went after him and talked mostly to him." I take a breather. I remember the terrified look on Katsuki's face.

"I was first surprised when Katsuki asked me if he was real. I think that Katsuki has seen him before, no, known him before because he called the villain 'Deku'. The villain tried to call him something like 'Kacchan'. This then proves that they have know each other from before but why did Katsuki ask me if he was real. Wait, i remember the villain saying something about death when he was......cutting him up. I couldn't really c-concentrate because i-i was..." I start to cry. I remember Katsuki's screams, all that blood, the crazed smile on the villain's face.

".....It's okay. You said plenty. I have to go now. Please excuse me."

"WAIT. Where is Katsuki's room? I want to see him."

"I am sorry but only his family are allowed in his room."

"Please, just tell me his room no. I will talk to his family." I plead. I really want to see him.

He looks at me and contemplates.

".......He is at the XX hospital in room 203." With that he leaves. I'll visit him when I am discharged. I think I will be able to convince Mitsuki to let me see him.

I am left alone in the slumber of my thoughts. I can't seem to stop thinking about that villain. If they really knew each other, then his identity can be found out. Katsuki is still unconscious so asking him is impossible right now. Maybe Mitsuki knows.

~ TIMESKIP to the next day brought by worried (Y/n) ~

I somehow managed to convince my mom to let me see him. I completely understood why she wouldn't let me go. But I am also grateful that she understood my reason. I walk inside the XX hospital. Yesterday, I called Mitsuki. She allowed me to see him but she was hesitant.

I walk to the room 203. I pause for a moment. What will I do if Katsuki wakes up and doesn't want to see me? What if I really am being nosy in this situation? Should I be even doing this?

My thought process was interrupted by Mitsuki opening the door. She looks like she is on the verge of tears. "Hey there (Y/n). Why don't you come inside? Katsuki hasn't woken up yet." She steps aside giving me room to enter. Her voice was coarse. I already miss her bold voice. I bow and sit in the chair next to his bed. He looks peaceful but pale. Bandages are covering his neck and jaw. Tubes are flowing out of his body and a heart monitor beeping indicating he is alive.

This is a view I never wanted to see for anyone. I take his hand in mine. It's a bit cold. I release a deep sigh. I don't want him to suffer. I am going to get that bastard even if it's the last thing I do. I should probably ask Mitsuki about 'Deku'.

"Mitsuki, did Katsuki know anybody named 'Deku'?"

"......How do you know that name?" Did that officer not talk to her? If not, then I should tread carefully. Careful, not to give too much information.

".....Well, Katsuki mention it once." It's half true.

"Oh....If he did.....then it's okay to tell you I guess. Deku was his childhood friend but one day he........he committed suicide. It was hard for Katsuki....since he saw him right after that happened." She looks down, while I stare at her horrified. Wait, does that mean....no..it can't be...he is dead. How can he come back?

"...Was Deku's real name *gulp* Midoriya Izuku?" She looks at me surprised.

"Yes. How did you know? Did you know him?" I squeeze Katsuki's hand. Now, I know what he went through when he saw him again. No wonder he asked me if he was real. HE CAME BACK FROM THE DEAD FOR GOD'S SAKE.

"I saw him after he did that. I was walking down the street that moment......Can tell me more about him? Like his family, quirk?" She looks uncomfortable with this topic but answers me anyways.

"He was quirkless and lived with his mother alone." Oh, Now I can tell his mom about him and ask some things too.

"That's great. Do you know where can i find her?" I beamed, feeling somewhat hopeful.

"She is........in a coma. She was caught in a Hero's counter-attack a week after her son's death." My face instantly dropped.......She is in a coma? ..........No wonder he became a villain. But it's a hero's job to put people in the right path again.

"........Thanks Mitsuki for telling me. Now, I understand Katsuki's actions....I'll try to help him more often. He didn't want this. Nobody did." I stand up and ruffle Katsuki's hair. I promise i will protect you even if you don't want it. "Heal soon, okay?... I should really go now. Thanks for letting me see him....and for the information." I muster up a smile and leave for home.

I frown as soon as i exit the hospital. That asshole is going to get it. Why did he become a villain instead of taking someone's help?! I am sure his mom doesn't want him to be that. I will surely beat some sense into him.

Midoriya Izuku a.k.a. Deku, you are under my radar and you won't be able to escape from me.

I'll find you one day and that day you will be on knees begging for mercy.
