I walk into class on Monday and the very first thing that catches my attention is Seokjin.

His lips are busted, his jaw is bruised, and he has a black eye that looks super painful. He carries himself shyly and doesn't even look up to greet people.

You got what you deserved, bastard. My lips curve into a pleased smirk before I go to my seat and set my things down.

"See him yet?" Jessie smiles from beside me.

"Of course," I nod, "And I'm glad he looks like that now. If only the school knew about it and took away his scholarships." I muse to her and peer over at the quiet Seokjin across the room. "Who did it?"

"I'm thinking it was a certain someone over there." Jessie points to the opposite side of the room from Jin.

"Jungkook? No way." I dismiss.

"Have you seen him? He looks like he was punched in the face and his knuckles are swollen and bruised."

I frown and squint over at Jungkook but I can't see his hands very well from this distance across the room.

But Mr. Dravis walks in and tells us to get our textbooks and laptops out for an upcoming assignment, so I can't squint at him any longer.

"Hey birdy." Jungkook sings and walks up behind me after classes are over.

I sigh, I'm not even going to bother stopping his nicknames if he's just going to keep saying them.

"Jeon," I reply unenthusiastically, avoiding his gaze and putting up more of my imaginary wall between us.

"It's almost break, you should be excited."

"The only thing I'm excited about is getting away from you for a week."

"You know you enjoy my company." He nudges me playfully.

"Right, I definitely-" I turn my face to look at him and that's when I notice his wounded lip, "What happened to you?"

"It happened on Saturday, I'm surprised you didn't see it last night when you came over," He chuckles lightheartedly and continues the way to my dorm.

Did I really not even notice? Was I really that self-centered? "That doesn't tell me what happened," I roll my eyes in attempt of putting that barrier back up.

"Well you're not gonna find out with that attitude." He wiggles his eyebrows and I crack a small smile.

He opens the door for me and I walk in, "Sorry, Jungkook. Will you pretty please tell me how you got your lip busted? I would greatly appreciate it." I bat my lashes at him.

He laughs, "You sure do love to beg me, don't you?"

I gag and roll my eyes upward, making a disgusted face, "You're gross."

"That I am." He smiles confidently as we reach my dorm.

I unlock it and let us both in, "Tell me why you're here again?"

"I want you to help me with my psych assignment." He says and drops his bag on my couch.

"You take psych?" I question and set my bag next to his.

"No, that was just an excuse so you wouldn't kick me out right away." He plops onto the cushions and relaxes with his hands behind his head like he owns my whole dorm.

"Oh, then get out." I flash him an intentionally fake smile.

"I'm good right here." He closes his eyes and crosses his legs, looking more like he should be having people around him that are fanning him with giant leaves and feeding him grapes than disrupting me at my dorm.
