This is a very long distance to cover so we'll have to take turns driving there. Right now Jungkook is driving and I'm in the passenger seat looking out the window.
"So who is going to be there? Same people from last time?" Jungkook asks from the the driver seat and I gaze over at him.
"My grandparents from my dad's side, the aunts, uncles, and kids from last time, and also my other two uncles that you haven't met yet."
"You have a big family," he chuckles and taps the steering wheel with his thumbs, "I hope they all like me."
"They will," I smile reassuringly, "Did you see how much everyone liked you from Thanksgiving?"
"Not your dad," he glances over to me briefly before keeping his eyes back on the road, "He made it clear to me."
"Pfft, don't listen to him." I frown, "He's overprotective of me and doesn't give an inviting front to anyone, not just you."
"I guess," he sighs and and I watch his eye flicker to his mirrors before he turns his blinker on to change lanes.
"Why is it important that he's cool with you anyway?"
"I don't know," he shrugs, "I just want to know that my friend's father approves of me."
I nod and look out the window again, "I wouldn't worry about it if I were you."
He doesn't reply to that and continues driving with a slightly tense expression. Hours later and we're in the middle of nowhere. The only things around are occasional trees and houses, but mostly just farmland.
"When does the GPS say we'll get there?" I ask Jungkook quietly after staring out the window for a while.
"11pm," He answers, "but that includes traffic. Hopefully there aren't too many cars out today."
"So you're telling me I still have 10 hours with you in this car?" I groan jokingly.
"Would you like to be the one driving right now?" He provokes with a smirk.
"No," I sigh, and lean my head against the window, "I think I'm just gonna take a nap."
"Don't let your dreams get too frisky, there aren't many places out here for us to stop," he winks at me and my face heats up with embarrassment.
"Gosh, you're still holding that against me?" I scrunch my nose, "It was a whole month ago."
"Don't act like you never remind me of mine," he chuckles.
"At least yours was interesting," I mutter under my breath.
"Yours was, too." He must've heard me, "You had full words and you wouldn't stop moving around. Crazy times, really." His eyes get darker just thinking about it again.
"I can't believe you remember that so clearly. You must've been staring at me like a creep for a while."
"We've been over this; I never stared at you, I only listened." He corrects and I roll my eyes with a slight grin.
"How well did you listen?" I inquire, "Remember anything I said or are you playing around?"
"Well you said my name a few times," he smirks arrogantly, "And if I remember correctly you also begged me not to stop."
"I wouldn't say that," I look out the window so he can't see how red my face is getting, "You're just making that up."
"Whatever you say, buttercup."
"I'm going to sleep, try not to disturb me with your weirdness." I rest my head against the window and shift to get comfortable.
