"AHHHHHH!!" Hoseok screeches as he clings to the rope.
It swings all the way out and we expect him to drop into the water below but he hangs on for dear life.
"Hoseok, let go!" Jimin laughs but he clings even tighter until the rope eventually comes to a complete stop.
We giggle at him, "Honey, you've gotta drop!" Jess sends him an encouraging smile.
"But-" he looks down at the ocean water, terrified of letting go of the rope, "this is so scary, how did you people do this?!"
"It's not that bad, just do it!"
He takes a few breaths before squeezing his eyes shut and hesitantly letting go, "AAAAAHHHHHHH-" and he lands in the water while we all cheer for him.
He comes up to the surface safely, "I AM NEVER DOING THAT AGAIN!" He shouts up at us.
"Ellie, your turn," Jungkook nudges and my laughter instantly fades.
"How about I go check on Hobi," I nervously smile and start walking but he hooks an arm around my bare waist to pull me back.
"Come on, Hon," Jessie smiles brightly at me, "it's really not that bad."
Yoongi hands me the rope and I grip it with both hands, staring down at the water.
"Go or I'll push you," Jungkook warns with a smirk and I glare up at him.
"I'm going," I assure him and everyone else as I stay in one place.
I give myself a mental pep talk before finally taking the plunge and the rope swings out and I'm screaming the whole time until it reaches its peak at the end. Letting go, I feel the wind blowing through my hair until... SPLASH!
Into the cold water I go, and I resurface with the sounds of everyone cheering from the top.
"How was it?"
"Not that bad!" I shout up at them with a smile before swimming to shore, hearing another splash as I get to the sand.
I ring out my hair and go to the bottom of the hill, "I'm gonna go to our stuff now!"
"Alright, have fun!" Jessie waves at me and Jungkook blows me a kiss once everyone is turned around.
I smile down at my feet and make my way back to our things. I smooth out my beach towel and lay down on it, being sure to put on more sunscreen before relaxing.
The hot sun beats down on my skin, warming me to my very core while the subtle breeze blows over me. The smell of salt from the ocean and the sounds of the waves coming up to the beach or crashing against the rocks makes it even more relaxing.
After exams, this is really the best thing I could've asked for. I should call Oli and see how he's doing with his boyfriend.
So I open my eyes and squint against the sunlight before turning on my side to grab my phone out of the bag with everyone else's personal belongings.
I pull it out and dial his number, laying back down with it pressed against my ear.
"Hey El, what's up?" He answers.
"I'm just calling to see how you're doing over there with Nathan," I smile.
"Oh my gosh," he laughs, "It's gorgeous here with a huge pool and the hotel is downright stunning- we even got the couples suite."
