Mao Mao wouldn't leave Winter. He was gonna stay until she was better and woke up. He wouldn't even go on missions. He would spend all day talking to Winter, not even knowing if she could even hear him. Not even Ran could get Mao Mao to leave Winter's side. Mao Mao would cry silently. What kind of hero was he if he couldn't protect someone he loved deeply.

"I miss you, Winter." Mao Mao whispered one night in the hospital. "I hope you wake up soon. I have so much to tell you." Days went by. The days starting turning into weeks, but Mao Mao didn't give up hope.

One night, when everyone else was asleep, Winter tossed and turned as if in a nightmare. Mao Mao took her hand and song a song, in hopes it would ease her to sleep.

Mao Mao put a hand on Winter's cheek. "I really would like to start over." He whispered. "I wanna try to love you again, Winter. Maybe this time we can actually make it work." Mao Mao flinched a list when he felt Winters hand grip his a little.

"Do you really mean that?" Came a soft voice. Mao Mao looked down to see Winter's eyes opened slightly. "Do you really want to love me?" Mao Mao felt tears well in his eyes.

"Yeah. I want to live you, Winter." He leaned down and kissed her. He felt Winter's hand on the back of his head as they kissed. When they broke away, Mao Mao laid next to Winter and put an arm around her.

"I love you, Mao Mao." Winter wrapped an arm around him.

"I love you too, Winter." He kissed her again. "Don't you ever take a bullet for me again." They both laughed a little. They laid their, cuddling each other until they fell asleep.
