Mao Mao smiled and sat up to hug his friend. Then immediately laid back down in a set of propped up pillows because his head hurt so bad. Tanya leaned down and hugged him gently.
"How ya doing, Mittens?" Tanya whispered in his ear comfortingly.
"I could be better." Mao Mao tried to make the problem seem not so big....and failed. "It's good to see you, Tanya." Tanya sat on the edge of the couch.
"Good to see you too." She hated seeing Mao Mao in such a state. Incapable of fighting, defenseless, helpless. He should be fighting for his girlfriend, not bedridden from a headache. It was even stranger with his family here. Mittens had always told her how his dad and sisters made him feel small and pathetic, now here they were acting like they were small and pathetic.
"TANYA!!!" Adorabat jumped up from Mao Mao's side and gave Tanya a bone popping squeeze. "MY AUNT!!! Now you can help us save Mom!" Tanya's eyes widen.
"Mom? Dang, Mittens. Hitched already." Mao Mao blushed.
"Tanya. Not in front of Adorabat." Badgerclops giggled at the joke. Mao Mao swore Teruko blushed a little when Badgerclops giggled.
"So are you going to help us save Winter?" Badgerclops asked, leaning against the wall.
"Of course!" Tanya wasn't lying. She was going to help save Mao's girlfriend, but she also wanted revenge on Greysin Willowmane, for putting her in that cell and attempting to attack Pure Heart Valley.........and for hurting Mao Mao.
"You can use my bunk." Adorabat said casually. "I wanna stay with Dad." She gently hugged Mao Mao, who blushed.

Tanya couldn't sleep. She kept thinking about how she was helping save the girl who stole Mao Mao's heart. Tanya thought of when she and Mao Mao had been together. She was such an idiot to let such an amazing and loving guy slip away, all because he respected the law. Now he had changed. He loved his family and friends more than the law and would do anything for them.
"Winter's a lucky gal." Tanya thought to herself. "If only I could be so lucky." Little did Tanya know that in a blimp on the outskirts of the Valley, Greysin stared out his window, wishing the same thing.
