Midoriya didn't have to be told twice, with the permission of his father, he set out on his path. Granted, he had no clue where he was going, he was just going.

After turning a few corners and heading down several streets, he slowed to a stop in the cold, dead night. He's only passed a few people which is unsurprising, given the hour.

He found himself at a small children's park that was actually quite eerie due to the single lamppost lighting the otherwise pitch black area. He saw, after several moments of slowly wandering around the junglegym, that there was someone else at the playground. The figure sat with an arched back and head low on one of benches across from where he stood.

He didn't feel threatened by the odd person, if anything he'd feel safer with this stranger than back 'home'.

So he decided to walk over to them, maybe he could vent, let his issues subside and he could figure out what to do. Izuku started to recognize something about the guy as his eyes adjusted in the darkness. His hair? Posture maybe?

He couldn't tell until he sat down and the other lifted his head.

"Oh, you're-"

"Midoriya?! How are you- why are-? How can you just be here?! This is-"

Midoriya's eyes widened as the blond rattled off incomplete thoughts frantically. Bakugou grabbed onto him, holding his small arms in his grasp tightly, as if making sure he was really there.

Midoriya stopped him, covering his mouth, "Please, don't ask so many- I don't even know what's happening.. Or, well, how to say it."

Bakugou pushed away Midoriya's hand, his expression now worried and confused. "What do you mean?" He suddenly started looking around in the shadows, "is someone watching you? Making you do thi-"

"No! No, not right now, I'm just getting air."

The blond turned back to him, "so you're free? C'mon, I can take you back right now, we can-" he jumped to his feet, pulling Midoriya up with him but looked back when the smaller boy pulled out of his grasps.

"I can't-.." Midoriya's voice ached with the warning of pain and fear. "I can't, I'd.."

Bakugou stepped back to him, placing his hand reasuringly on the boys shoulder, "Midoriya, please. Aizawa told us that he knows what happened. He's figuring it out. Please come with me.."

Izuku still just shook his head and pulled away again, sitting back on the wooden bench. "It's a drug," he sobbed out. "It's messing with my memories, I still don't know who any of you people are. And I have to keep taking it or I'll die, I started caughing up blood and passed out after just one day of not having it!" Now his tears were falling without his consent, he was ranting and letting it all out and he was so afraid.

"We can take you to recovery girl!," he blurted as soon as the idea came to his head. "She can heal you until we find a permanent solution."

Midoriya looked up at him, the idea gave him hope but he was still scared out of his mind. He shook his head, "I can't.."

"But why, please, Deku.. Please, everyone just wants to have you back, you're mom's been so worried, we all have and so scared that we'd never see you again!"

"I've been scared too, Kacchan! When I found out that I was actually a hero, I was terrified! I had my memory lost and I was living with all those villains and killers for months!" He stopped talking when he saw the shocked expression Katsuki's face held and a single tear inched down his cheek, he reached up to stop the tear in its path. "Wait,- why are you..?"

Bakugou pulled his hand away from his cheek and held it tightly. "You called me Kacchan again.." Despite all their problems and the fear that still lingered between both of them, he managed a small, pained smile.

Midoriya instantly felt awkward, he hadn't even noticed the knickname slip from his mouth, didn't even know what it meant really. He pulled his hand away and took a couple steps back. "I.. should go.. Um bye.. yea."

"Wait- no! I'm sorry!" Midoriya turned back, Bakugou was sorry for more than just making him uncomfortable, Izuku could just feel that. "Deku.. please, come back to us, or tell me that I've been dreaming, or this is some sick joke or payback for all those years of me being an asshole or something. I deserve it."

"Are you alright, Kacchan? I thought you Might've hit your head or something.."

The short memory stuck to his thoughts. The way he vaguely remembered caring for him was clear. You don't deserve it, he thought but wasn't sure what he could say right now.

Whatever. Here goes nothin.

"Ka- um, I'm slowly remembering things.. I remember some things from my childhood and I think I cared for you. Um. So,.. so I don't think you deserve to go through something like this." Midoriya looked away again, "I probably won't remember for long though, the drug will erase my memories again soon.."

"You can't say that!," he shouted, making Midoriya jump. "Believe me, we can help you! No-one's going to let you die, I know that for sure."

"I can't, I can't. It's- I just couldn't, do you know how scary it is to be this uncertain? It's my life on the line here!"

"Yeah, but-" he found himself short of words. He did know how scary it was, though he still couldn't admit that he was ever scared like that. Against all his instincts, he gave in to Midoriya, he would have to let him go. "Will you be alright for a while longer? All the heroes and police are still working hard to find a way to help you.."

Izuku nodded, "I can hold out.."
