Maybe,
just maybe Hoseok didn't hate them after all. And by them, he meant the six new students he had gotten to know in a quite weird way.
At least it's not too often you see friends getting along, and then hearing that the reason their relationship became this good was because the other one fainted on their way back home and the other one took them to their house to rest.
(Or then author-nim just has been living under a rock.)
But in any way, some part of Hoseok still strongly disliked these boys. He didn't exactly know why, but it was still this kind of love-hate relationship, the love side being just how people usually interract with each other.
Hoseok was back laying on the guest room's bed due to Jin wanting him to rest, 'at least until his face had gained it's usual color', as he had put it.
Right now he was all alone in the room, but the door was open, and most of the boys were upstairs talking and doing whatever they needed or wanted to... So maybe you couldn't really count that as being alone.
Hoseok had not been paying much attention to what they were doing, but as soon as he heard his name being called, he did stand up to sit on the bed.
"Hey, Hoseok," a certain purple haired boy called out, as he walked in the guest room.
"Do you wanna take a shower? The bathroom downstairs is empty right now, I bet that a hot, steamy shower could feel nice."
Namjoon was leaning against the wall near the entrance of the room, while smiling sweetly at Hoseok.
"I mean, I guess a cold shower can feel refreshing, too, it really depends... Oh! I can also go fill up the bath tub if that's what you're into!"
"A bath tub...?"
The ravenette tilted his head to the side, as he raised his eyebrows at the words he repeated after Namjoon. Just how rich were these guys? A huge house and room for a bath tub??
What was also shocking him, was how kind the male with these quite adorable dimples those he had not been staring at, was. Without even knowing if Hoseok himself wanted to wash up, he was already offering to go fill up a bath for him.
He felt bad for calling him 'grapehead' after all...
...Even the hair color and style suited him. It was not worth calling him a grape.
"Yeah! We have a bath tub, it's not the biggest one but it's still very comfy. What do you say?" Namjoon continued with a wide smile on his tanned face.
"Not really in the mood" Hoseok mumbled, suddenly feeling embarassed and guilty for making fun of such a gentle person. "Thanks."
Speaking of which, made him want to ask the question he had thought of before falling asleep ー why, for real, were these guys so kind towards someone like him, such a cold and rude person?
But yet again, the words felt like they were stuck. His lips were parted from each other, his gaze was focused on the other boy in the room, but nothing came out of his mouth.
"Allright then," Namjoon continued after a short pause, "Are the clothes ok? Not too thick or thin? I can go look for something more suitable to wear during the night..."
"It's fine."
This time, Hoseok actually meant what he said when using the word 'fine'. It often was that one safe word he used to cover up not feeling well for en example, and say that he was fine. And he for sure, wasn't the only one doing so.
Such a short yet very complicated word to use after all, isn't it?
But he really didn't mind the clothes he had been 'given'. They were comfortable and warm, even though they definitely weren't his.
"If you say so, Hoseok."
In the end, Namjoon still ended up showing Hoseok where the bathrooms were in both of the floors, upstairs and downstairs. Hoseok ended up washing his face in the one located downstairs, and he also got to see the infamous not-the-biggest bath tub, which in his opinion, still was huge.
He wondered if it could even fit inside his own livingroom.
Before he even knew it, Hoseok was back in the livingroom with everyone else, excluding Jimin, who had announced about taking a quick shower after all.
The TV was turned on once again, to probably prevent a possibly very akward silence between all of them. Jin was back in the kitchen, this time only getting everyone something to drink.
"Hoseok, what do you wanna drink?" the pink haired boy yelled from the kitchen, expecting Hoseok to be near enough to hear him.
Well, the ravenette did hear him, but he was sure that Jin wouldn't hear his quiet response, which was not going to help him much anyways; 'anything is fine with me'. Hoseok still decided to go to the kitchen just in case, maybe just to return one of the two water bottles he had brought back downstairs by himself.
He didn't need them both to survive through this one akward sleepover.
"Hoseoー Oh, there you are" Jin turned around to greet the sick boy. "I thought you didn't hear me. So, any requests?"
"No."
Jin furrowed his eyebrows at the blank answer. "No? What about hot chocolate? It's good to drink something hot when you're sick."
Just like Namjoon had done previously, Jin too was giving Hoseok such unfair treatment ー that referring to Hoseok being annoying towards them, yet still being treated so nicely by not only Jin and Namjoon, but by all of the six.
Excluding the couple times they teased him. Once assholes, always even a bit assholes.
But this time Hoseok couldn't keep it to himself anymore; "Hey..."
"Why are you so kind?"
