Chapter 8

[Adam's POV]

"Two weeks?"

"Two weeks."

I pulled Tommy into a close hug. He has to fly back to Burbank because his dad is really sick and the odds aren't good. This is the first time since we've been dating that we've really been apart.

"I love you so much! Send my love." I kissed Tommy's lips. "I'm gonna miss you so much!"

On his tip toes, Tommy threw his arms around my neck. I didn't want to let him go. Tommy is the best hugger ever. Every time you hug him, it's like he's mending all of your broken pieces back together.

"You've gotta go our you'll miss your flight." I whispered into his ear.

Tommy bent down and grabbed his bags. I watched him as he boarded his flight. Just before he left, he turned around and waved, the sun glinting off of his sunglasses. I waved back, trying to contain the tears the prickled the back of my eyes. After he left, I turned around and headed back to my car. I know that he has to go, but I wish he wouldn't. Sadly, I can't go with him.

We've been dating six months now; and the longest that we've been apart is two nights. I hated those two nights. Go ahead, make fun of me. I know that I'll have plenty of things to distract me. My new album, seeing my family. But it'll be lonely. Especially at night. When everything winds down and I'm alone, with my thoughts. Those thoughts that scare me. I never have those thoughts when Tommy is around.

Two weeks. I can do this. Two weeks...
