"BAMM" (Zombies)
David, Dwayne, Michael, Star and Sam sat crouched in the rickety, old barn they were about to possess. The year is 2019 and everyone was struggling to stay alive for the dead had risen, and not even a week later, half the world was in shambles.
Edgar and Alan signaled from the ground and attacked two guards talking to each other, their backs turned to the outside.
Sam set an arrow on his bow and aimed for the only female guard watching for the undead on the opposite side of the loft.
Without a sound, she fell to the ground outside, sounds of the undead alerting the other guards that something was wrong. One rushed for the barn door, letting in at least twenty zombies, all bloodthirsty for those who killed them. Michael motioned for Sam to creep over to the other side, leaping from rafter-to-rafter, which he knew was risky.
The zombies paused, their meals laying dead on the barn floor, their intestines splayed on the perimeter of their corpse.
David and Dwayne's faces morphed into the vampiric side, startling the undead. They were sensitive to loud noises, so Sam's stomping feet confused them until one grunted, pointing up at the human and vampires hidden in the barn rafters. Star sat quietly, observing the herd as they mumbled and groaned, and slipped on the metal ladder that led up to the loft.
Sam's arrow flew into the brain of an undead, knocking two other zombies into the pitchforks some guards had left out.
Horses whinnied from somewhere outside and shrill voices jolted the remaining zombies to life, pushing the barn doors wide open and they attacked the soldiers on foot.
"If we're going to flee, now is a good time. The other side is locked, but the horses are on that side. They're startled and alert, but if we jump from the loft, we should be fine." Sam said, launching another arrow into the last member of the undead.
"Star, you first." Michael nudged the young half-vampire out the second floor, loft window. She landed lithely on the snowy ground, approaching the guard's horses with a low energy so as not to scare them. She untied one and mounted, raising four fingers to Michael, meaning there were only four horses.
Sam was next, landing on his knees in the waist-high snow and mounting the next horse calmly, allowing it to stand next to Star's mount.
"There are only two more horses," Dwayne mumbles, the fear of abandonment taking control of his trembling form. His pupils dilated and his fangs grew longer out of fright. "Please don't leave me behind." He grabbed onto Michael, pleading with the other half-vampire, knowing his leader most likely wouldn't speak up about it.
"No one is getting left behind." Michael's voice turned to stone.
"Thank you, Michael. It means a lot." Dwayne gave him a nervous smile.
"You vamps coming or not?" Sam yelled, not caring if the horde heard. "We've got a few Runners on the hill."
Michael leapt to the ground, tumbling a few feet away and mounted the nearest gelding swiftly.
David shoved Dwayne out the window just as a Runner sprinted through the trees, blinded by the light from the barn. Shots rang out and all heads turned to David as Dwayne mounted the last horse, following Star and Sam at a gallop away from the horde.
A green saliva covered mouth bit into David's calf as he struggled out of the loft. He'd only make it so far before succumbing to the virus.....this could be the end......

Except, it's not. There will certainly be a part 2. Will David survive or not? Will the virus take control of his body?
