Paul sauntered along the boardwalk, scouting feeding locations for his brothers in the later evening. What he didn't expect to find was a teenage girl sitting along on the railing, carefully balanced as she gazed out at sea, peaceful even. He almost didn't want to bother her, but she was special and Max would want to know her.

"Uh, hi." He awkwardly coughed, startling her. She fell to the sands below and landed on all fours like a cat.

"Oh, I didn't see you there." She dusted herself off. "I'll move." She stood up and climbed back onto the railing, swings her legs over and dropping to the wood flooring.

"You don't have to move. I'll join you."

She scooted more than arms length away from him, not finding him comfortable to be around. "What do you want?" She glimpsed him up and down, surprised to find he didn't carry a weapon. "I'm not normally approached by guys like you."

She was cute, he realized. David and Max would approve. Although with her being as soft as she was, she had secrets engraved in her skin.

"Nothing." He sighed. "You're adorable, that's all."
