In the next chapter, there will be some mentions of writing songs, but in case you haven't noticed, this story doesn't actually follow BTS in real life. Their hair colors don't match up with each other, and as you'll see in the very near future, the songs that have and haven't been released make absolutely no sense.
The timeline in this story is different from real life because it's too confusing for me to fact check everything. I've been an ARMY since 2013, so it's really confusing for me to stop and think, "how old was I when this song came out?" For this story, I'm just pulling my memories of BTS from the past 6 years and mixing them together. I can imagine how that might be confusing for you, so that is what this mini chapter is for. Without further ado, I give you a GENERAL IDEA of what's going on in BTS' world when this story takes place.
BTS has the same amount of worldwide fame in the story as they do in real life. They've been together for 4-6 years (it's never really specified in the story because it doesn't matter to the plot) so you can imagine this story takes place sometime around 2017-2019.
Music Wise:
Every song on 2 Cool 4 Skool, O! RUL8,2?, Skool Luv Affair, Dark&Wild, The Most Beautiful Moment is Life: Parts 1&2, and Love Yourself: Tear has been released.
That's normal. Here's where it gets weird.
Wings has been released (as you know by the reference to "Begin"), but "Lost" and "2! 3!" are NOT ON IT. (They will most likely be added to the story later.)
Love Yourself: Her has been released (obviously: because Taehyung mentions Serendipity in the last chapter), but "Best of Me" and "Illegal/Dimple" are NOT ON IT. (again probably going to be added later)
Love Yourself: Answer HAS NOT COME OUT YET. (It will probably come out with "Lost" "2! 3!" "Illegal/Dimple" and "Best of Me" making an appearance as new songs)
Face Yourself has come out, but "Let Go", "Don't Leave Me", and the Japanese version of "Best of Me" are NOT on it. (because "Best of Me" hasn't been written yet, and "Let Go" and "Don't Leave Me" will come in later with "Lights")
Map of Soul: Persona has come out.
Lights and Heartbeat have NOT been released.
Hope World has been released, but "Chicken Noodle Soup" has not.
Map of Soul: 7 has NOT been released.
People wise:
Jungkook has black/his natural hair color. Jimin has light pink hair, like in "Spring Day." Taehyung has brown hair, a bit lighter than his hair color in "Dope." Namjoon has blonde hair. Hoseok has orange hair. Yoongi has mint green hair. Jin has black/his natural hair color.
If their hair changes colors, which it might, it will be described in the story.
