Chapter Six: A Lover's Plea

Off in the distance the tigoness had been laying only to hear the ear shattering roar that shook her to her core. "Eva?" What was her mate doing in the plains? This far away from home, only reason Eve was out here was to see where the little serval cub had run off to, it was hard keeping up with the runt... and the egg that was tucked up against her side. Why did it sound like Eva was in trouble? She rose to her limbs and let out a roar just as loud calling back to her. Was she ok?

Eva fell onto the ground. She was slowly beginning to hate herself all over again. It was true, she looked too much like Cober to be loved. Eva rarely ever saw feelings correctly. And so maybe that so called love in Jinx's eyes was fake. What if her whole life was a lie she continued to live. Now here she was unable to think straight. Straight. That was the only thing she could thing properly of. She knew where she was, not far from the steep cliff she once aimed at jumping from. Maybe she could do that without Silent was not here to stop her this time. Then she ran. As fast as she could. No more problems. Maybe Jinx would be happier with her gone. But as Eva came close to the spot, she stopped. She couldn't. There was one problem she had with doing this. She couldn't leave Eve and Kian alone. And she would rather burn in hell than to see Zain gain something he wanted. Her lover. Falling to the ground again she began to cry. That once strong Lioness broke again.

Both of the illusions of Raion and Reika fade as Eva ran off into the distance.

The voice of Miya picked up again, "Awwww little Eva is crying... too scared to prove the big bad kittys wrong?" The small cub appeared beside the cliff side, "You could do it, end it all right here... but yet you stopped again. Your too scared to... you could avenge your mother... you could reclaim what is yours... Eve would have forgiven you and both of you could have lived happily ever after." Another roar of a lion came from the distance, masculine and louder than thunder. "It would be so easy, to end it all...."

The vile spirit was weaving the illusions while its thoughts went elsewhere.

Why was there no answer, Eva always answered her call. She gave another loud boastful roar, proudly calling for her mate. Why wasn't she answering her? Eve began to pace through the tall grass trying to find the scent of that oh so frimilar sweet smell, where had she run off to?

She stared at the cub. Why was she steady appearing?! Eva could not stand it, even though the little brat had a point. "I could... I could kill Cober." Her mind could not set to one thing. Although the thought of removing him permanently remove him was something that could probably fix her name. She could just lose what little mind she had left in the process so she had to weigh was this wroth it? Standing up she turned her head towards the roar. "I hear you father... I will give you what you are asking for." She smirked before heading towards the roar. No more tears. No more pain. Well for her that was, she was planning to torture the hell out of him if she could. With a thirst for blood, she could not wait to do this final kill here. No more. At least not for now.

"Yes, you could your father.... think of how much it would mean to your mother.... to be a happy family again... you can do it. Do it for Jinx... do it for you pride... do it for Eve!" Miya happily purred licking her lips looking up towards the female. She looked back over her shoulder glance back towards Eva as she ran in, "Good luck!" She soon faded away as the scent grew stronger, that musky deathly male scent that plagued where Eva was headed....

Eve continued running through the clearing before smelling Eva, she could even hear her. "Eva! There you are, I have been looking all over for you." She smiled until she came into the clearing spying the blood, she stopped in her place staring almost in disbelief her mate was covered in blood and reeked off lion blood. "E-eva... what have you done!" She yelled at her mate shaking in place....

Coming out of the clearing the shadow faded into view, Cober standing tall and proudly with his mane flowing in the air. Those daunting eyes staring back at his daughter, "Eva... there you are, I have been waiting for you." His long tail lashed behind his frame as his body seemed to be rippling in excitement, the air grew so much colder around him. "Take me... for what I have done!" He yelled at her, taunting her. Lady's first, once he claimed his daughter back there would be no second guessing this was all going to be over soon.

She stood there staring at the male. This would be a hard choice for many, but for her it was simple. She would just take the challenge. Plus if he truly wanted to take her, He would have to just easily made her submit taking her away. He could do nothing crueler than that. She too a defensive stance before growling loudly. "I won't mind taking you out. I won't stop until you are dead. The only way I plan to let you live..." she snarled. The younger feline had age on her side. He was up in the ages and was somewhat slower than her. The femme went to lunge at him. Maybe if she was lucky, she could maage to get through the thick mane he had to his neck in one bite, but she knew that would fail.

Eve continued to shiver scared of Eva, what was wrong with her? "....Eva.... don't do this... please... I am begging you." Her words were falling on deaf ears, why was this happening? When Eva lounged foreword, the femme darted out the way only to swipe a paw across her muzzle. "Eva stop! Please listen to me, its Eve! Stop this now!" She snarled lashing her tail high behind her, fear plaguing her heart as she did not understand why she was acting this way toward her.
