Ashlynn's POV
I had to tell him sooner or later. Did I even trust him enough? Of course I do, I love him. "Can we go for a walk? Somewhere quiet?" I asked. "Yes, how about the park?" "No" I said realy fast. No one in hell am I ever going back there. "U-Uh oh sorry, uhm maybe to the beach?" He said looking upset because he brought the park up. "Yes, please" I said with a smile. I got up from our position and stood up "I'm going to take a quit shower" I looked over at Luke to see him smirking. "Alone" I added with a laugh which he laughed at also. I grabbed a white dress that went mid thigh and underwear and a bra and hurried into the bathroom. I undressed myself and turned on hot water. I waited for it to warm up and jumped in. I grabbed my sponge and body wash and washed myself. I then grabbed my shampoo and cleaned my hair. Then I shaved my legs. Once I was finished I dried off with my towel. I put on my clothes and decided to straghten my hair. I applied a little bit of foundation, I didn't feel like putting on eye makeup because I knew I was gonna cry telling Luke about what my dad did. I opened the bathrom door and saw that my bedroom door was closed. I didn't even think about the fact Luke was probably dressing so I opened the door to see Luke in only boxers. "Oh uhm s-sorry" I turned around quickly and closed the door. I was so embarressed. I walked downstairs into my kitchen to grab some food. I saw two plates of pancakes on the table and a note. I picked up the note and read it... "Hey Ash, I made pancakes for you and Luke (; I won't be home until tomorrow, I'm staying the night at my friends for work. By the way, I like Luke, I think he's perfect for you." I smiled at the last part, but I sighed at the fact she lied. I know its not for work. Shes seeing someone. I ont know why she just wont tell me. I crumbled the note up and threw it in the garbadge. I heard footsteps come from the stairs. I felt a pair of arms around my waist and they put their head in my neck. I turned around to see Luke and he smiled like an idiot. He was wearing clothes ths time, it was black pants with a hole in the knee and a green day muscle tee and his hair up in a pefect quiff. "Sorry about.. you know" I said. "It's okay Ashlynn gosh, its not like your never gonna see me in them again" He winked with a smirk. I blushed so hard at that my face felt like it was red. "Uh so my mom made us food, we should prolly eat before we go" I said sitting down which he copied. We ate are pancakes in silence but it was a comfortable silence. We finished so I cleaned are plates in the sink and put them back. I looked over at Luke in the living room watching tv so I hurred upstairs in my room to grab my brown combat boots. I grabbed my phone and went downstairs into the living room. "You coming loser?" I smiled. He just sat there looking at me up and down biting his lip ring. God I hate when he does that, he's so hot. "Are you like fucking deaf?" I said qouting from what he said to me the first day we met in the school parking lot. He looked at me in the eyes this time with a sadness in his eyes. Maybe I should'nt have said that. "Ashlynn you know im really sorry about that?" He said walkng towards me grabbing me hand. "Yeah, I do. Sorry for saying that" I sighed. "No, you have nothing to be sorry for, I should be. I'm the one that..." I cut him off by kissing his lips. I hate when he apoligizes. Or anyone for that matter. I never know if its true or not. I do believe hes sorry for what he said. But thats after he got to know me. He didn't care when he said it to me at first. I pulled away and smiled guiding the way to his car. He opened my door for me "C'mon really? I can get the door myself" I said laughing. "I'm be a gentlemen, so for that matter.. Yes really" He laughed also. Only if he was a gentlemen when we first met. I dont know why I keep thinking like this but it's irritating me. He got into the drivers seat and started the car. He turned on the radio and 'Kids In Love - Mayday Parade' came on. I love this song so much. I turned it up and started to sing the words. I saw Luke keep looking at me from the corner of my eye. I just kept singing. In the middle of the song he turned it down and I stopped singing. I looked at Luke who was staring at me. Thankfully we were at a red light. "What?" I said smiling. "Your really good." I blushed. "Thanks but I really like this song so if you could just not talk until its done, I'd love that" I said laughing. "Okay princess" He said smirking. I tunred it back up to realize that's its over. I saw Luke look at me and I looked at him "Thanks asshole" I said hitting his arm. "Oh noooo, I'm so hurt" He said dragging the 'O'. I just laughed at him. I was really dreading having to tell him what about my dad. We got to the beach and before we got out he turned to me. "Ash, you don't have to tell me if you don't want." He told me. "No, no I need to... You should know" I said not looking at him but keeping my eyes out the window. "You sure?" He asked. "Yeah" This time looking at him. I got out leaving him behind walking to the beach. I took my boots off and sat them in the sand and put my feet in the ocean. I loved coming here, it always made me feel relaxed and free. I heard a camera noise go off. I turned around to see Luke with his phone out. "You look beautiful" He told me with a wink. I smiled walking towards him, I grabbed my boots and we walked down the beach. We found a spot on the sand and sat down. I kept my eyes on Luke who finally moved his eyes from the ocean to me. We just sat there staring at each other. Until I spoke. "So my uh dad he..." I took a deep breath and began again. "When I was 12, when my dad was soposed to take me out for the weekend because it was his week to see me. We went out for icecream with his friend. Everything was going well until we went to the park. By the time it was around 2:30 in the morning and I was really tierd but I tried to stay awake because I wanted to spend time with my dad because I barly had the time too. So we all were at the park and I was on the swing while my dad and his friend were on the bench drinking beers. My dad got up and w-went into the ally while he left me with his friend. I turned to look at my dads friend and saw him walking towards me, at the time I didn't think anything of it. But he grabbed me by my legs off the swing but I tripped him with my hand and I got up and ran into the ally beause that's where my dad was. I told my dad what happened while I w-was crying and he hugged me and when I tried to pull a-away he wouldn't let go.. h-he held me really tight till his friend came to us and I screamed as loud as I could a-and my d-dad he uh slapped me and I cried even harder t-then my dad pinned my hands down so I was laying down and h-his friend tried to pull my pants down but some lady in her mid 30s saw what was happening and pulled out pepper spray telling them to move away but they didn't so she sprayed my dads friend in the eyes and he yelled and got up rubbing his eyes. My dad got up and tried to grab the woman but she ran and my dad ran after her so I got up and ran as far as I could away from the park.. I managed to find my way back to the icecream shop and I told them to call the police. Once the police got there I explained everything that happened and one of the police took me home and an c-couple days later they found both my dad and his friend and sent them to jail. But t-the lady she uh... she died b-because they beat her to death." By the end of explaing what happend I was in tears. Luke pulled me into a hug. I pulled away from him and wiped my tears. It looked like Luke had cried a little because his eyes were a little red. 'Its okay now, I'll never let him hurt you again, I promise." I smiled as we kissed. I just hope that's true. "C'mon lets go home" He said smiling. He helped me up holding my hand. We got into his car and drove in silence to my house. We got inside and changed into comfortable clothes, I changed into really soft black shorts with one of Luke's shirts. Luke changed into just sweatpants we both cuddled on the couch watching netflex. "What do you wanna watch?" He asked me. "Something scary" I said. "Yes, I love scary movies." He said with a big smile. We turned on 'The Conjuring' and snuggled really close together. Luke had his arm on my side and his other playing with my hair, while I had my thigh on him and our legs tangled together. I couldn't keep my eyes open and I eventually fell asleep.
Luke's POV
The movie ended and turned my head to look at Ashlynn who was asleep. She looked beautiful. I didn't wanna wake her so I got up carefully and turned off her laptop and sat it on the table infront of us. I picked her up bridal style and went to her room and layed her in her bed. I kissed her forehead and started to walk away to leave. "Luke, please stay" She said sitting up. Her hair was a mess, but she still managed to look perfect. I smiled and crawled next to her and we got back into the position we were in when we were on the couch. "I love you, Ash" I said and kissed her cheek. "Love you too" and we fell asleep.
