Chapt 4 - Who wouldn't

The next day, they got ready to set off for Cloud Recesses. Jiang Cheng immediately blushed when he saw XiChen, wondering if the kiss really did happen or if it was even a kiss. He then tensed up as he saw XiChen approaching him.

"WanYin" XiChen called out smiling, making Jiang Cheng's heart thump. "... Lan... Lan Huan" Jiang Cheng greeted back.

All of a sudden, Wei Ying and Xue Yang who were fooling around crashed into Jiang Cheng, making Jiang Cheng stumble forward.

Lan XiChen immediately reached out to grab Jiang Cheng. Jiang Cheng was shocked by the sudden closeness and pushed away harshly, though he was blushing.

That left an awkward sight. Lan XiChen was also stunned and did not know how to react. On the way back to Cloud Recesses, though WangXian and XueXiao had many public display of affection, everyone otherwise acted awkward.

Lan XiChen throughout the journey was more silent than usual, though he had his fake smile on. Inside he couldn't help but feel hurt. 'Does WanYin not like me after all?'

On the second day, Nie MingJue who had been travelling with them would be parting to return to QingHe. Hence, they had a meal before that.

Lan XiChen couldn't handle control himself and asked Jiang Cheng to step outside to talk. "WanYin, why... why do you seem to be avoiding me?"

"No why" Jiang Cheng replied, a little coldly.

"What happened? Did I do something wrong?" Lan XiChen asked.

Jiang Cheng who had been holding himself back, silently watching how Nie MingJue and XiChen had been laughing while talking all the way here, finally burst.

"It's not your fault! It's me! It's me for feeling this way! Why am I so useless? And I hate it when he calls you Lan Huan!" Jiang Cheng shouted.

Lan XiChen blinked in confusion at the sudden outburst. What did Jiang Cheng's words mean? "Who calls me Lan Huan?"

Jiang Cheng grit his teeth "Nie!" but was interrupted by the said man.

Nie MingJue walked over "XiChen, Jiang Gong Zi, I'll be heading back first" then turned around and left.

Jiang Cheng paused in confusion. Did Nie MingJue just call Lan XiChen 'XiChen'?

Seeing Jiang Cheng's confusion, Lan XiChen smiled. "WanYin, did you happen to hear Da Ge calling me Lan Huan? At that time we were deciding the names to address each other and he was just teasing me"

"I..." Jiang Cheng blushed. It was a misunderstanding. How embarrassing! He had been avoiding Lan XiChen for a misunderstanding.

Jiang Cheng was too embarrassed and felt that he could not stay there anymore. He turned around to leave when he was pulled by strong arms into a warm embrace.

Jiang Cheng blushed even harder and panicked. "What are you doing?!"

"WanYin" XiChen called which calmed Jiang Cheng a little. "WanYin, I like you. I want you to be the only person calling me Lan Huan"

Jiang Cheng froze in shock. The great handsome perfect Lan XiChen that he likes just confessed?!

Lan XiChen tightened his arms around Jiang Cheng's waist and repeated "WanYin, I like you. Do you like me?"

Jiang Cheng, his face still blushing, mumbled softly "Who wouldn't like you..."

Lan XiChen gave a wide smile. He leaned his head on Jiang Cheng's shoulder. "Huh? I can't hear you."

Jiang Cheng repeated himself louder "I said who wouldn't like you!"

Lan XiChen chuckled and asked "Hmm? What does that mean? WanYin, do you like me?"

Jiang Cheng turned around to face him. "Don't pretend you didn't hear. I said I like you! If you really didn't hear then forget it!"

Saying so, he turned around again to walk away but Lan XiChen grabbed his arm. "I heard it! I heard it! WanYin, I really like you!"

Jiang Cheng whose face was like a tomato replied "I... Ahem, I really like you too"

Lan XiChen was so happy he gave Jiang Cheng a peck on the cheek and hugged him tightly.

"Lan Huan! What are you doing!" Jiang Cheng panicked.

Lan XiChen released him and gave him a peck on the lips. Jiang Cheng almost malfunctioned as this was too much for him.

"Let's go!" Lan XiChen said as he interlocked his hands with Jiang Cheng and pulled him. Jiang Cheng asked "Where?" and Lan XiChen replied "To the inn"

The next morning, despite Lan Zhan's, Xiao XingChen's and Lan XiChen's reluctance, Wei Ying, Xue Yang and Jiang Cheng walked together ahead of them.

"How was last night?" Xue Yang asked Jiang Cheng with a smirk.

Jiang Cheng happily beamed "We cuddled to sleep"

"That's all?" Xue Yang asked.

Jiang Cheng nodded his head and Wei Ying gasped "Jiang Cheng! You two didn't do it?"

Jiang Cheng smacked him "What are you talking about?!"

"Me and XingChen did it while we confessed to each other!" Xue Yang exclaimed.

Wei Ying nodded his head and whispered "Me and Lan Zhan didn't go that far on the day itself but we did jerk off! Even before we got together hehe"

Jiang Cheng blushed hearing them talk. "Your are talking nonsense!" He huffed.

Xue Yang placed his elbow on Wei Ying's shoulder and the both of them teased "Someone's shy~"

Just then, a deadly glare came from behind. Lan Zhan went forward and pulled Wei Ying away while Xiao XingChen stood between them.

Wei Ying looked at Lan Zhan and gave him a kiss. "Only you, Lan Er Ge Ge" Wei Ying reminded. Lan Zhan nodded his head but made sure to stand beside Wei Ying, holding his hand.

Lan XiChen had also went forward and interlock his hands with Jiang Cheng's, despite the initial protest.

Behind the six of them, two figures watched them, occasionally trying not to due to certain overly sweet affections.

Nie HuaiSang sighed as he fanned himself "They all coupled up already. Love is surrounding them 24/7... Aren't you sick watching Xiao XingChen and Xue Yang?"

"Definitely" Song Lan replied. He wasn't a man of many words but he couldn't help but reply, something he had been wanting to say for a long time. "They can get worse... right in front of everyone"

Nie HuaiSang took a peek at Song Lan and chuckled "Then I guess this isn't too bad"

When they reached Cloud Recesses, Wei Ying very naturally went into JingShi, making Lan Zhan beam.

Jiang Cheng however, refused to stay in Lan XiChen's room. Lan XiChen sulked a little internally but let him do as he wishes. After all, he was already elated that Jiang Cheng likes him back.
