Chapt 17 - Don't Just Play

One month passed. They had decided to finish off Wen Chao since it wasn't necessary to keep him. Wen Qing had been a big help with her medical knowledge but she kept worrying for her family.

Lan Zhan looked calm and spend his free time with Ah Yuan but Lan XiChen could tell he was nervous and anxious.

Wei Ying had told Lan Zhan he needed at most a month. Lan Zhan waited for a few more days and left a letter as he decided to look for his Wei Ying.

Lan Zhan reached the entrance and the resentment energy was so thick he wasn't sure how to proceed. All of a sudden, a man came tumbling down.

Lan Zhan's eyes widened and he smiled for the first time in a month. "Wei Ying" Lan Zhan called out. However, the man was talking to himself.

"Who's this?"
"Sigh you are so forgetful"
"Don't you remember?! He must be the Lan Zhan Wei WuXian keeps talking about!"
"Mn, his one and only lover"
"Ohh the very handsome guy"
"Well, this young man is indeed handsome"
"Say, why don't we attack him"
"Are you crazy?! Wei WuXian will kill us when he wakes! Remember, he remembers what we do in his body too!"
"So troublesomee"

Lan Zhan was confused. Is Wei Ying not in his body? "Where's Wei Ying" Lan Zhan asked, a little commanding.

"Come young man, we'll bring you in"
"Maybe I can seduce him"
"Seducing him in Wei WuXian's body? You'll be using his lover's body, it doesn't count"
"Don't you dare! What you feel, we will too!"
"Then get out and let the girls stay!"
"No! I want a piece of him too. I understand why Wei WuXian would bend for him"

"Come on guys, you're already exposing youselves"

"You refused so badly when we wanted to seduce the lady in the cave!"

Lan Zhan was worried and confused but frowned greatly when he heard 'seduce the lady in the cave'. There was a lady in the cave?

He followed them into the Demon Slaughtering Cave. "Ohh, we have a visitor. An expected visitor" A person from inside the cave said.

Lan Zhan saw a beautiful lady wearing white walking out. She looked graceful, knowledgeable and skilled. Lan Zhan couldn't help but get jealous at the fact that Wei Ying stayed here for one month and most likely with this lady.

As if the lady could read his mind, she chuckled "Don't be jealous. I'm way older than I look and Wei Ying only looks at you"

Lan Zhan was a little surprised that she could read his face. "But he's naive" Lan Zhan whispered softly.

The lady nodded her head "That I agree. Come sit here, I'll tell you about Wei Ying before he wakes up."

Lan Zhan was confused but he remembered something. He bowed "I am Hanguang Jun, courtesy name Lan WangJi, birth name Lan Zhan. You are...?"

The lady smiled and waved for him to sit down. "Good kid, I am Baoshan Sanren, Wei Ying's grandmaster."

Lan Zhan immediately bowed again before he sat, though he frowned a little. Baoshan Sanren smiled "I am already hundreds of years old and I am his grandmaster. You won't mind if I call him Wei Ying right?"

Lan Zhan realized he was frowning each time he heard her say 'Wei Ying' and quickly eased it, then replied "Mn"

Baoshan Sanren chuckled. "You're just like what he say. Cold and quiet but loves him a lot. He might not notice but you react to everything about him."

Lan Zhan frowned a little but nodded his head when she said that Wei Ying told her Lan Zhan loves him a lot.

Baoshan Sanren then explained "Wei Ying managed to control the resentment energy. However, he only wanted complete control. He was very afraid that he will lose control, which actually gave the resentment energy an advantage.

However, that kid still managed to do it. Good kid. As expected of my granddisciple hehe. Since he wanted complete control, half of the time he is awake and fixing the Yin Tiger Seal and Chen Qing, only resting to hear stories about his mother. The other half is taken control by the resentment energy while Wei Ying tries to control it.

I was surprised he came up with that idea. The first time he tried it he went crazy, wanting to escape and haunt others. I had to lock him up. However, he showed his side and now the resentment energy obeys him, though he still believes he does not have full control."

Lan Zhan interrupted a little while glancing at Wei Ying who was doing somersaults and flips while laughing "Can Wei Ying take back control whenever he wants to?"

"Not really but the energy is in control just before you came so I guess he'll take back control soon. He probably needs just a week more to have full control"

"I see..." Lan Zhan replied, then asked "Did he get hurt anywhere?" Baoshan Sanren smiled and said "That boy is a genius. He knows his limits. He doesn't go overboard when trying to push his limits. As expected as my granddisciple."

Lan Zhan could tell that Baoshan Sanren was proud of Wei Ying. Lan Zhan was proud of Wei Ying for that fact (and many others of course). "Wei Ying also wanted to discuss with you. I would like to have you two as my disciples"

Lan Zhan was surprised. Baoshan Sanren lived in seclusion. If they accepted, at least they'll be together but would Wei Ying bear to be away from his loved ones?

Baoshan Sanren chuckled. "I heard you met Ah Yi. Ah, I meant Lan Yi." Lan Zhan raised his head and nodded.

Baoshan Sanren gave a slight smile "Since you know I went into seclusion because of the Yin Metal matter, Wei Ying had asked me to come out again once he manages to destroy all the Yin Metal. He really is a genius, we all thought that the Yin Metal is indestructible."

Lan Zhan had a straight face but Baoshan Sanren could tell that Lan Zhan was very proud of Wei Ying when she said that.

"I promised him to accept outer disciples, those that can go into the outer world too and I would like you two to be the first two outer disciples."

Lan Zhan was about to reply when he felt arms wrapped tightly around his neck. "Mn, Lan Zhan, I am okay with it. You are too right? We can learn from grandmaster and we can leave the mountain too."

Lan Zhan pulled Wei Ying to his lap as he wrapped his arms around Wei Ying while Wei Ying shouted "Wahh!" as he buried his face in Lan Zhan's neck in comfort and embarrassment.

Lan Zhan then replied "Anything but..." Baoshan Sanren smiled "No worries, I won't be revealing my location and I am definitely strict in picking my disciples."

Lan Zhan then nodded his head as Wei Ying was snuggling against the crook of Lan Zhan's neck, enjoying his warmth. Baoshan Sanren stood up and said with a gentle smile "I'll be going back to my diciples and I'll return in a week. Don't just play around"

Wei Ying gave a sheepish smile as they both stood up and bowed to her. The moment she left the cave, Lan Zhan pulled Wei Ying and kissed him.
