Chapter Twenty-six

Where are am I? Are the others okay? Is Meredy alive? Juvia thought to herself, her vision was hazy. The chains that had her bound looked as if she was to be crucified. It continued to prevent her from using magic, after her eyes adjusted to the dim room, she remembered what had happened. Her ears continued to ring slightly, but her mind was soothed seeing Meredy.

"Juvia! Juvia! Please! Stay awake alright?!" She pleaded from the other end of the room,

"I'm sorry." Juvia said in a whisper,

"Hey! we need a healer here! Her ribs are still broken!" Meredy shrieked from the ground, the chain was not long enough to even reach half of the room. It was bolted to the cold floor. Meredy stood up with her arms chained behind her back,

"Do something! Where are the others?!" She yelled,

"Shut up in there." A voice said,

Meredy looked around, unable to see where it had come from. Before she could demand for answers it spoke again.

"You've all been separated, but we won't be needing you all much longer anyways."

"This girl is hurt! She needs help, her magic was drained and she's been beaten multiple times. Please!" Meredy screamed,

"Then you probably should tell her to stop taking your beatings." The guard answered before walking away,

"I'm sorry Meredy." Juvia said,

"I'm the one who brought you on that fake job." Juvia coughed,

"I told you to stop resisting, it's fine if they hit me too." Meredy replied,

"It's not just that." Juvia spoke softly,

"I'm sorry about him as well." Juvia said,

"Who?" Meredy asked,

"No, it's nothing..." Juvia mumbled before forcing herself to sleep,

Meanwhile on Gray's side, Gajeel met up with Gray's team. Gajeel informed them of how flare mysteriously returned to Magnolia, she was unconscious when found. Their healer reported Flare was now suffering magic deficiency syndrome, within minutes of their call, Sting informed them about Wendy being attacked, but the assailant disappeared instantly when the same scent had popped up. Thankfully enough, Wendy faced no damages with Mest not far from her side.

After days of moving, Gray and his team managed to obtain information on their enemy. By now, Sabertooth and Lamia scale were closer to recovering Kagura and Minerva without knowing it. Team Natsu discovered that the girls were now transported to Giltena, a continental between Ishgar and Alakitasia. The group found Hisui, she claimed that they werent the first to be taken, some had their memories wiped and altered, Mest separated from Wendy to collect Hisui, after he placed her in the care of a doctor at Hargeon, before taking off once more.

Meredy stood on guard as the cell door began to open, before her was a man in a suit fit for a prince. Well decorated almost completely black, other than his white button up, his blazer adorned with golden silk and jewels stitched into the clothing. He had part of a cape on one shoulder, as the other did not. His locks of a fine whitish silver. His hair was cut like Natsu's when his hair was down. He had the most piercing green eyes,

"I'm sorry. But your friends are near, and we arent finished with you yet." He said calmly,

Meredy was about to lunge at the man upon seeing him hold strands of Juvia's hair, he began to heal her broken ribs. Once he had finished Meredy commented about the other wounds Juvia had, he paid her no mind and called for someone.
