Rollercoaster

nightmares

It's currently 10:45 in the morning and I seem to be the only one awake. Maybe I should try to cook us breakfast? I'm not the greatest at cooking but I could always try. I made sure that there was cereal in the cabinet before I did anything just in case I burnt the shit out of everything. I look in the fridge to see if there's anything good to fix, I find some eggs and bacon on the door and some frozen waffles in the freezer. I guess this'll do for now. Better than nothing right? I begin to cook the eggs, deciding to scramble them since I don't know how Finn liked her eggs, or even if her or Braxton likes them.

"What's all this?" Finn said as she walked into the kitchen, with the worst bed head I have ever seen, but somehow she's still absolutely gorgeous. I can't help but stare. "What are you staring at me for?"

"You're just so beautiful," I said walking over to her. "Can I kiss you?"

"I haven't brushed my teeth," she starting walking toward the bathroom. I grabbed her waist to pull her towards me, and kissed her soft lips.

"I love you still," I said after pulling away. "Stinky breath and all." I smiled.

"Oh whatever Buckley" she laughed. "But I love you too."

She started walking back to the bathroom to brush her teeth, when we heard screaming coming from Braxtons room. I dropped everything I was doing and ran as fast as I could, running into Finn on the way.

"Buddy what's wrong?" I asked Braxton as I was picking him up to comfort him.

"I had another nightmare about mommy," he cried "I miss her."

I felt so bad for the kid, he's been having terrible nightmares about the accident for about a month. Finn's been taking him to her therapy appointments to try to help him, but it doesn't seem to be working.

"Oh I know baby," Finn said, while holding his little hand. "Everything is gonna be alright, I promise."

"How 'bout this," I said putting him down. "You get dressed so we can go eat breakfast before I have to leave"

"Okay Bucky," he said while walking to his closet. "What's that smell"

"Shi- I mean oops I must've left the stove on." I ran to the kitchen to see the eggs burnt to a crisp on the skillet.

Great, I guess we'll be eating cereal today.

F I N O L A

We were all sitting at the table eating fruit loops, since Buck burnt our original breakfast. I really need to go grocery shopping soon.

"So what time do you have to leave for work?" I asked before putting a spoonful in my mouth.

"I probably need to leave in a few minutes," he said before taking his bowl over the the sink, then putting it in the dishwasher.

"Aw why so soon?" Braxton frowned.

"I have to go to work buddy," Buck ruffled Braxtons hair on his way to the door. "Give me some." He said with his fist out.

Braxton fist bumped him and then Buck walked over to me and we kissed. "I'll see you later, love ya"

"I love you too." I smiled while watching him walk out of the door.

"Can we do something fun today?" Braxton asked with a mouth full of cereal.

"Don't talk with your mouth full," I scolded. "But sure, what do you suggest we do?"

"Sorry," he said after swallowing his food. "Can we go play games at the pier?"

"Sure, we can leave soon," I said "I'm gonna go get dressed alright?"

I walked into my room and grabbed a fresh pair of underwear and a bra. I walked over to my closet and found a cute pair of black shorts and a yellow tank top. I actually feel pretty for once. I decided to just wear my hair up in a ponytail and put a little mascara on. I don't need to cover up my bruises anymore since they were pretty much completely faded.

"You ready?" I questioned.

"Yes!" Brax jumped up and ran to the door to put his shoes on. I grabbed my slip on white vans to wear today.

"You got it?" I asked as I saw him struggling to tie his shoes. He's still learning how to.

"Here," I said as I put my phone and keys down to help him. "You just have to do little bunny ears like this." I tied one shoe and let him try the other one.

He finally got it, and we were out the door.

I really hope nothing bad happens, it seems like I bring bad things everywhere I go.
