Two weeks later...
December 10th, 2019

F I N O L A

"So you're telling me that we've been together for almost five months and you're just now telling me that you have a sister??" I scoffed at Buck "You're such an ass!" I laughed, playfully punching his shoulder.

"Ouch, when did you get so strong?" Buck joked, rubbing his shoulder.

It's true, I'm probably almost stronger than Buck at this point. Okay maybe not, but ever since the Tsunami I've been hanging out with Eddie a lot. I bring Brax over to his place to play with Christopher since they're about the same age, and we would work out in his mini gym he has in the room that's supposed to be a dining room. He has a punching bag, which I've been pretending to be Ryan and beating the shit out of it. It's pretty fun actually.

"What do you mean? I've always been this strong." I showed off my barely there biceps. "But seriously, when am I gonna meet her?"

"She's gonna be staying at my place for a while, she should be here in about an hour." He said while he helped me make our bed.

Buck practically lived with Brax and I, so I'm not sure why he still has an apartment. I don't think he's even been there at all this month, since he's been staying with us to 'keep us safe'. Not sure what all that's about, I think he just wants an excuse to sleep in my bed.

"Cool, you should invite her over for dinner." I suggested "We're having vegan pasta tonight." I wiggles my eyebrows. We made our way into the kitchen.

"Ohh are we now," he grinned "you know that's my favorite, this is why I love you."

"Is that the only reason you love me? My mad cooking skills?" I joked, wrapping my arms around his waist. I have to bend my neck backwards to even look at his face at this angle, which is actually crazy. I've never dated anyone a whole foot taller than me.

"No I love you for a lot of reasons," he smiled "I love your smile, the way your nose crinkles when you laugh, your personality, the sex." He whispered that last part into my ear, which made my entire body shiver.

"Stop that, Braxton is in the living room," I smacked his arm. "Now call Maddie."

I walked to the bathroom to take a shower, then change out of my pajamas and make myself look decent for once. I put on a pair of shorts and a 'girl gang' tank top, and then I pulled my hair up in a ponytail.

In the shower, my mind was racing. I thought about my relationship with Buck. Something about it was different than any other relationship I've been in. The only other serious relationship I have ever been in was with Ryan, which I don't really consider a relationship. I felt trapped and forced to be in love.

Being with Evan really changed what I thought love was. I used to tell myself that love was just having a really close relationship. But being with Evan showed me that there's so much more, love is being with someone and knowing they are the person you want to grow old with. Love is being able to wake up at 10am to the worst possible morning breath, but still being willing to stay there for hours and hours. I've been unknowingly searching for the missing piece of my puzzle for years, and I know for an absolute fact that I've finally found it. Buck is my missing puzzle piece.

Three hours later

I've been running around the kitchen like a mad man, trying to finish dinner before Bucks sister, Maddie, gets here. Buck is just sitting at the table watching me, without a care in the world. Men.

"You don't have to finish before she gets here," he laughs, taking a sip of his beer in his hand. "She won't be upset."

I stopped what I was doing and looked at him in a fake angry way. "You said she's been driving for 6 hours, she's gonna be starving."

I continued to cook, singing and dancing around to Harry Styles. A few minutes passed with Buck recording me for his snapchat story, when there was a knock on the door. Now I'm suddenly super nervous, and my palms are extremely sweaty. What if she goes for a handshake, I'm more of a hugger but everyone is different.

Buck grabbed my hand and we walked over to the door together, opening to see Maddie standing with a tray of cupcakes.

"Evan oh my god." She pulled him into a hug "I've missed you."

When they pulled away from a hug she immediately turned to me and engulfed me into probably the best hug I've ever experienced. "You must be Finn."

"Yep, that's me." I smiled. This is weird, but she smelled amazing.

"It's so great to finally meet you, Evan texts me about you all the time." My heart swelled, not sure why I didn't think he'd talk about me to other people.

"It's great to meet you too, even though I've only known you existed for less than a day." I glared at Buck after that.

"I'm sorry what," she looked at Buck, smacking him in the chest "how could you not tell her about your most awesome sister."

Buck laughed. "You're my only sister Mads."

"Oh shut up," she said "where's your bathroom?"

"Oh, it's the first door to the right down that hallway." I pointed her in the direction.

Once I heard the bathroom door shut, I turned to Buck. "She's like the best friend I've always wanted."

"Is she gonna replace me, huh?" He joked.

"I mean maybe." I winked and made my way over to get plates out for all of us.

"Hey Brax, do you wanna help me set the table? Maddie is here." I asked him, interrupting his intense Mario Kart game he was playing in his room.

"Yeah sure," he put his DS down and got up and ran to the kitchen. Weirdest kid I know.

I walked to the kitchen, not in any hurry like Braxton seemed to be. I walk through the door and see Maddie laughing with Braxton about something.

"What's so funny?"I questioned and walked over to my seat by Buck.

"He just told me the best knock knock joke that I've heard in a while." Maddie looked up to me with a face that tells me that it wasn't really funny at all.

"Let me hear it." I waited for him to start the joke

"Nope, it's a secret." I was kind of sad to hear that, but I know I won't be able to get him to budge.

"Okay well," I started "who's ready to eat."

I walked over to the kitchen counter and brought over the two different pastas I made for us. I made just a regular vegan pasta I found at the store since I know we would all eat it, and I wanted to try Zucchini noodles so I picked some up.

We all helped ourselves, Braxton making a bit of a mess. Who am I kidding, Buck made the most mess of all of us. We spent the rest of the night talking about random things, and Maddie told so many childhood stories that embarrassed the hell out of Buck.

Hey guys! I've decided to try writing a few chapters at a time and have an actual upload schedule. It's been really scattered lately so hopefully I keep at this:)

ALSO the newest episode of 911 was soooo cute (especially the ending) not gonna spoil anything but it involves a skateboard
