Rollercoaster

the morning after

B U C K

Everyone had the best time last night. We all spent some quality time together, and everyone decided it was best to just stay the night since we were all pretty tipsy. The only people who went home were Hen's family, since Karen decided against drinking last night so she drove them all home.

Mostly everyone was sleeping in the living room on a bunch of blankets, aside from the kids who slept in Braxtons room. Chimney and Maddie slept in the guest room, and Finn and I slept in our bed. Saying 'our bed' sounds so foreign to me. I never thought I would say that since my relationship with Abby ended. But I'm so much happier with Finn, and I think everyone has noticed. I'm just so glad to have my own little family, even though we haven't been a family for all that long.

"Good morning, babe." I heard Finn say, looking up from my chest where her head was laying. I don't know how someone can be so beautiful, especially at 9am after just waking up.

"Good morning." I say smiling down at her, tucking her hair behind her ear. All three dogs were laying in the bed with us, which would be cute if it weren't so crowded already.

"Whew," she mocked disgust. "We both have morning breath."

I laughed and got up from the bed and grabbed her hand to drag her to our bathroom with me. As we both finished brushing our teeth, I grabbed her by her waist and pulled her close to me.

I lifted her onto the bathroom counter, her legs on either side of me. I cupped her face in my hands and pressed our lips together, she put her hand on the back of my neck to deepen the kiss. Just as things started getting heated, we were so rudely interrupted.

"Hey Buck where do you keep the extra toothbr- oh god" Chimney stood at the door, surprised of what he was seeing. Finn just pointed to the closet behind me, and pushed herself off the counter to help him find the toothbrushes.

"Cockblock." I mumbled under my breath, Chim laughing at my disappointment.

F I N N

After Chimney awkwardly walked in on Buck and I, the three of us made our way to the kitchen. Following the scent of breakfast, we found Athena making the most delicious breakfast I think I've ever seen. If you haven't realized already, I can't cook for shit.

"Hey Finny." May said from the table, sitting next to her dad.

"Hey May-baby." I said, using the nickname that I made up for her last night.

I walked over to Athena and tried to steal a piece of bacon, but much to my dismay she playfully slapped my hand away.

"Finola Davidson," she said sternly. "You can wait a few more minutes missy."

I faked a sad expression, and walked over to sit at the table next to Bobby, across from May.

"Pst..." I heard Bobby trying to get my attention. I looked over and saw he was sneaking me a piece of bacon that he stole before I came in here.

"You're a legend." I quietly laughed, taking the delicious bacon and nibbling on it until the rest of the food was ready.

After we ate, mostly everyone had to go back to their houses to get ready for their shift at 4pm. I looked over and saw Buck still eating his avocado toast, which I still don't understand how anyone can enjoy eating that. I respect his choice of eating completely vegan though, he's still working on finding vegan foods that I would like since I'm such a picky eater. Though I am eating mostly vegan, I can't resist all the good food Athena cooks. Baby steps, Finola, baby steps.

Soon everyone had left the house aside from Braxton, Buck, and I. Buck was getting ready for work while I was getting dressed so Brax and I could take the dogs out for a walk. Since Braxton isn't super strong, since he's only ten years old, I have to walk Bug and bogart since they're both so strong. I'll never understand how bogart is so strong, only weighing a whopping 15 pounds.

Buck kissed me goodbye, and gave Braxton a big hug before walking out the front door. Brax and I were finally ready to go on our daily walk, so we headed out and enjoyed the nice LA day.

And of course we forgot sunscreen.

Two chapters today, whaaaaat. Ain't that crazy. I hope everyone is doing well! Make sure if you are protesting to go prepared with anything you may need, and continue fighting for justice!
