Chapter 2:Guilty Losers

"Arriving at Wall Rose"

All the survived soldiers were about to fall of their horses. Mikasa was riding her horse close to Eren's wagon and Armin riding close to her "What happened there? why she looks so hurt and disappointed? They saved Eren and got him back so...?" Armin drowned in his thoughts and looked at Captain's side and surprisingly he had the same expression as hers. It was just a second but he saw captain touching his leg in pain "Did he get injured? is that why Mikasa looks so hurt as well?!"

"Mikasa?!" Eren woke up trembling and shocked wondered what happened and where he is! "Did you save me again?" but she didn't reply and "We're getting close to the wall" Mikasa changed the subject.

Levi saw Mikasa touching her scarf with guilty expression on her face "What's with the guilt? She saved the Yeager boy alright! My legs a shit, what now?"  He thought tired for the day. Losing his squad, getting beat and the failed plan was enough.

"I'm the reason Humanity's strongest got injured" Mikasa didn't dwell on Levi's title too much the first time Eren mentioned it. But given few hours ago, it put on a very heavy weight on her shoulders.
"If it wasn't for me, if he wasn't there, I would've died and Eren... he's hurt because of me. He is the one saved Eren...I'm just pathetic!" Mikasa felt she's gonna cry so she ignored Eren's question and mentioned their arrival, she saw what Armin saw too, Levi was in pain...

*An hour later*

Survey corps arrived within the walls, frustrated and disappointed, people started scolding and nag about their waste of taxes they were paying. Eren simply remembered old days as he, Mikasa and Armin were little and hearing people saying the exact same things about survey corps and their expeditions. Mikasa and Eren's face gone pale as they saw two kid looking at them with a hint of their own childhood on those kids faces.

"Captain Levi sir!!" Petra's father approached Levi and started talking about his daughter and her relation with Levi, the word of Marriage rang in Mikasa's ears and her heart skipped a beat "He lost his squad, the one he loved and got injured his leg in a day yet he managed to save me and Eren; How could he not be shattered right now?"

Now for the next chapter Levi and Mikasa start to pay more attention to each other! Sorry for these two boring(?) chapters but, I think knowing how they started to develop feeling for each other is and important part of their relation and because the part where Petra and other's corpse gets thrown away doesn't exist in the Manga I preferred to skip that part (in order to get to the point faster)
