The pic is Jean's imagination 😂
Obviously Eren wasn't happy with putting a trap to capture Annie "Hey...Um...Mikasa, are you alright?" Jean asked with reddened ears! She turned with no respond and grabbed the broom "We have works to do Jean let's go" They started with Hange-San's room because there was a famous line among the troops saying: If you can clean Hange's room with Captain's standards, then you can clean anything else!
"Do you have any idea how she lives in this room?!" Mikasa shook her head. "What kind of business she has with all these rocks! I mean they don't really help killing the Titans" Jean desperately was trying to make conversation with her and encourage her to talk back instead of shaking her head or just humming as a respond but all she did was remaining silent and expression less as always. After 3 hours of hard and suffocating work there they went to clean other officers room and Commander room. As everyone mentioned before all the other rooms were much easier and cleaner. They didn't spent much effort for the others "Alright I think we're done for today" Jean said wiping his sweat "Heichou's room is downstairs, we didn't clean there" said Mikasa with blank face "Oh riighhht I forgot about our clean freak captain, doesn't matter how much effort we spend I heard he's never satisfied with it" Jean heard it from Eren before! And scanned his surrounding afraid he might be close to hear him.
"Stop nagging and just do it, that room must be the easiest one"
Jean was shocked by Mikasa's reaction he didn't expect her to actually answer or to say anything at all but since she talked with him with actual words, he gathered enough energy to work!
Levi's room was the smallest room in the building once Hange joked" You don't have to pick a room based on your size!" and received his deathly glare but it wasn't the reason.
Jean and Mikasa were cleaning the room then suddenly Levi entered, he didn't expect to see them there and said "What the fuck you two brat doing in my room!"
"We're in charge to clean all the officers room today sir" said Jean. Mikasa wasn't even looking his way or paying any attention to his presence and kept sweeping "Oi you brat, stop sweeping, if you wanna help cleaning this place do the papers." he looked at Jean and continued "You keep cleaning" and then left the room. Mikasa set the broom aside and headed straight to Levi's desk "They don't really look so messed up though." She remembered her old times with her parents, the way her mother cleaned the kitchen and rooms and her father's freak about his cloths being spotless or that after each hunting he cleaned his shotgun with special handkerchief! She smiled "I'm used to be around clean freaks!"
"Ah Mikasa, do you know why Captain's room is here?" Mikasa looked up waiting for him to go on. Jean wasn't expecting and he was surprised that she actually wanna know about this "Well I heard this from his old squad. Apparently he can't sleep at nights so he picked this room so he can visit the kitchen...This room supposed to be for the head chef but since survey corps doesn't have any chef so he chose here" Mikasa took off her scarf frustrated. "How do you know all these?" She asked without looking at Jean "Oh, once we joined and came here heard from his old squad, you know...before they all die." He paused "I feel sorry for all of them specially for that girl, Petra..." This name echoed in Mikasa's ears and remembered couple days ago that her father was talking about marriage with Levi!
"Itseems they were a couple after all..." For no specific reason she felt her heartsank! Well there was a reason she was too naïve to realize it then and justkept doing her job. Jean stopped and stared at her hair as the light of the dayand cool breeze passed through her hair.
