Levi was getting tired but it wasn't because of his leg, in fact, he didn't need to use it or protect his injured leg at all! It was tiring because it had never taken so long for him to defeat someone before.
"She can beat me with one strike at my trauma, then what is it Ackerman? Why don't you finish it?" He thought angrily.
"Please command me to stop! I don't wanna hurt you, don't make me do this" she thought in disappointment.
Without realizing, Mikasa's hostile attitude toward Levi was changing with only one mission. Now she could see what made him beat Eren like that at the court and actually how considerate he could be with his troop and she had a respect for him though she didn't want to admit!
"Use your full strength stupid brat, I didn't ask you to go easy on me, you can beat me in blink of an eye, just do it." Levi was mad but wouldn't say or show it on his face. "You think...your opponent...will thank you...for fighting fair?" He said, punching and kicking her.
"Fine. Then let's finish fairly." Mikasa whispered while she stood still for a second and got conflicted by Levi's punch. He threw a deadly punch at her knowing she can easily dodge but, when it hit her face he looked disbelief of what happened.

She landed on her back with a small scar on her forehead and bloody mouth. Levi was shocked as he looked at his hand and felt his raw knuckles with red bruises "Did I just punch her this hard?"

All the troops rushed to Mikasa when she didn't show any moves. It seemed she fell unconscious but she sat in her place, wiping her mouth when other ran to her.
Eren and Armin looked disbelief to see Mikasa getting pinned down like that, it was the first time, Jean's face went pale, Ymir smirked and the others just gasped and stared at Captain breathing heavily with widened eyes.
"Did he really have to go that far?" Eren thought "He's never done something like this before not even to me at the court! "
"Levi have you planed on killing her?" Hange said with shocked voice
"How is she now?" Levi clearly were angry, others might think he looks the same but not Hange, she knew very well that how he felt in the moment. Guilty. "She's fine, other troop is with her now"
"If only she wouldn't get on my nerves like that!" Levi thought with gloomy face. More because he didn't see that coming from a stubborn person like her.
"Mikasa are you sure you're ok?" Eren asked "I'm fine Eren, see?"
"Your face was covered in blood and you looked dizzy, didn't you lose any tooth!? I grew another when he hit me at the court but you..."
"No I just cut my lips and scratched my forehead, It's nothing." She said. "Compared to what happened to him to limp like that, it's nothing." She though to herself.
"Why didn't you fight back with all your guts?" Armin asked with serious and puzzled face.
"What do you mean? She was fighting as hard as ever" Jean interfered protestingly.
"Armin's right, it wasn't like you at all!" Reiner too realized then.
"Nonsense, I didn't do such stupid thing." Mikasa with her usual calm and ignorant voice looked at Armin as she was saying "Don't you dare mention it again!" her stubbornness was holding her to show any sign of changing her mind about her captain.
The night has arrived and there was cold breeze, Mikasa got up as usual to take a walk around the base. She noticed the fade light coming from under Levi's door. She smirked for a short while and passed "Why giving me the reason to hate you while I'm trying to finally understand you?!" she didn't know why but deep down she knew "Hate" seemed to be too much for what she's feeling.
Levi saw a shadow passing by his door "Is she up again?" It was her, definitely her, the only brat wandering around at this hour would be Mikasa. He opened the door enough to see her, heading out and followed her as an unknown force ordered him to. At the entrance there was her scarf "Why It's here?" Levi growled "Oh those brats took it off...there she is."

She was sitting in the middle of stairs lying her head on her hand and he noticed one side of her face covered in bruises and swollen lip but somehow she managed to look charming even in that state. "She's beautiful." said Levi in his mind with a fade smile on his face." How did I do that? Maybe I really am as Heartless as everyone say."
