Chapter 14: Levi Squad

*3 days later at the Base*

Mikasa:

Mikasa opened her eyes. For a moment she couldn't recall where she was and what have happened to her.

"Oh Mikasa you're awake! Are you alright? Do you remember anything?" Armin has just arrived there and saw her sitting on the bed and panting seemed like she had the worst nightmare which was true. "I'm...ugh...I'm alright" then she grabbed her head and squeezed it.

"What's the last thing you remember?" Armin asked while he was sitting beside her.

"We were on the wall and you and Eren were there and I...I..." She suddenly looked up "Wait where's Eren?" because of her sudden movement her ribs shuddered "Ugh"

Armin grabbed her shoulder and forced her to lay back "He's alright, He's helping with the others to pack, we've been assigned as Captain Levi's squad and..." she jumped again with headlong voice "Is he alright?" when she was unconscious, she had the same nightmare as she had the last time and the thought that everyone included him died while she was helpless to save them. She remembered everyone's condition but she hasn't seen him ever since before their departure to Utgard Castle "I told you he's fi...wait do you mean the Captain?" Surprisingly, Mikasa was not worried about Eren because she vaguely remembered her ride back on a horse with him and so he was fine. She came back to her senses and put on the same cold, indifferent look on her face. even herself didn't expected herself to get worried over captain.

"Yes, in fact he chose us and we're about to move to a safe place, these 3 days the base was in a chaos and everyone went crazy, we took the responsibility of Annie's crystalized shape and now we must keep Eren and Kris...I mean Historia away from Military Police." Mikasa jumped out of her bed again but bended from all the pain again. "I should report...ugh...I must report the mistake of actin..." she collapsed on the ground Armin helped her to sit down as he knew it's impossible to force her lay down again "It's ok now,everyone else and I reported everything on detail, just rest for now, you know we didn't expect you to wake up so soon, you're really something!"

She sat down and clenched her chest then she noticed that her scarf was gone, she looked around to find it, wondering if she lost it in the battle.

"looking for this?" It was Eren's voice at the door. The scarf was hanging off his hand and he had a rather satisfied look on his face as if he was waiting for her to ask for it and now that she did he was relieved.

"How do you feel? It's good that at least you woke up..." He was strangely calm and she thought that it's unlike him to be so calm, especially after all the fuss he made before they capture Annie.

"What do you mean?" She asked while she was wrapping her scarf "You see Mikasa...When we returned, when everyone saw commander Erwin is like that or even you... well nobody expected it, moreover seeing Levi Heichou and Hange-San so deplorable makes everyone panic." Answered Armin.

"Yeah nobody wants to see a soldier worth of thousand and Humanities strongest like this..." Eren completed with a smirk on his face, one of those you do to mock someone. Armin sensed his repulsive answer but wasn't sure why he's acting as such.

They fell silent for a while till Jean's voice called them out.

"Yo, Eren, Armin we're done here let's take Mikasa and lea..." after he arrived at her door he saw Mikasa and two other guys sitting and looking at him "Oh my! You're awake...How? When did you...When did you wake up? Are you alright? "and without taking any breath he shouted "Sasha, Connie, Historia come here She woke up!"

It didn't take long for to Sasha burst in and jump in Mikasa's arms without thinking about her ribs! "Mikaaaaaasaaaaa what took you so lonnng? I was afraid...Why you keep doing this?" Mikasa who never showed any emotion toward anyone, shed a fade smile on her lips shyilngly but gathered herself to her old self. "Sasha! Were you stealing bread again?" replied Mikasa pointing to the cramps on her collar.  Sasha separated herself from her and said "Eh!? Is that all you're going to say?!" Sasha only heard her cold respond but just a glimpse in her eyes and she realized maybe she's not that bothered by her.
