POV: RIVER

-

I stepped through the pack house's doors to be greeted by numerous pairs of eyes.

I swallowed hard standing in the doorway, being looked up and down by Clinton, Xavier, Jen, Collin and multiple other young female and female wolves I've never seen before.

Now that I've transition into a wolf, I can feel all their reaction towards me, some of the males breathing patterns became hard while the girls seemed to ignore me as best as they could.

My face must have looked puzzled, because Bryant leaned into me whispering. "They can sense your wolf, be confident. Nobody likes a weak alpha."

I straightened my back and took a deep breath looking face to face.

"Riv, I'm glad you're okay, we were all so worried about you." Jen ran over to me, embracing me in a tight squeeze.

While I was in the clinic, there was an uneasy tension amongst the pack members, Jen would tell me that everyone close to Bryant became stressed.
I was told if anything would've happened to me, the pack would've fallen apart from Bryant's broken heart.

I took a deep breath, feeling better I was surrounded by familiar faces, instead of being pricked by needles and especially being constantly hunted by the wolf in my dreams.

Jen let me go with a soft smile and returned to her mate.

I felt a strong hand wrap around my waist, that pulled me into a hard surface. I looked up to see Bryant's smiling face hovering over me.

"Due to my mates strength, River has made a full recovery. She was and still is your Luna and will be addressed accordingly. To whoever decides to disobey my choice in a mate or go against my mate will be dealt with me and me alone. I hope you all make a wise decision and accept River as your Luna. With that, you are all dismissed." He stated, his voice boomed quickly through out the room and quickly faded out.

The group looked shocked at Bryant's serious tone. There was quiet murmurs, while the room cleared to be only occupied with Bryant and I. The room felt colder and I became nervous that there was nobody else around.

I swallowed, stumbling over my own words. "You can't be serious, about this queen thing."

He looked at me for a moment raising his eyebrow. "Not a queen, a Luna." He said correcting my words.

I huffed. "It's the same thing."

"No a Luna is a confident woman who knows who she is and what she wants. She's nurturing to her pack, pups and mate. She's intelligent and strong. Something her mate not always be strong in.
She completes her mate in other ways than one.
River you were already a strong woman, before this all happened, you just need to believe in yourself. You've already showed me your intelligence and heart."

He took my hand in his, rubbing his thumb over the soft part of my fingers. He looked at our hands and slowly brought his eyes up to look at me. His sweet dark eyes connected with mine, which made my heart skip a beat and feel a warmth from the inside of my chest. I felt a vibration come from the back of my mind, almost what I'd imagine a purr to feel like. I couldn't help but find myself giving him a soft smile. He pulled his hand away to only be returned around my waist. I let out a a short gasp which only made his smug face become a full smirk.
