A Remedy, A Melody

CHAPTER 9

"We need to get his phone." Namjoon declared when everybody sat down at the table. It had been two days since Namjoon started helping with the hacking, and they had found even weirder information. "With his phone, we can go through his emails and see why he ordered all those strange things."

"How are we going to get his phone?" Jimin asked with a confused frown. Everybody looked at Namjoon for an answer. Hoseok and Namjoon looked at each other and nodded.

"We need to stalk him and get it off of him," Hoseok answered with an apologetic face since he knew what type of reaction this plan would receive.

"What?!" Jin squawked as he stared at the two in disbelief. "Are you crazy?! Jae-Seong is super strong!"

All of the others agreed with that sentiment as they started yelling out their own complaints. Jungkook stayed silent as he worriedly bit his lip as he watched. Someone could really get hurt... Jungkook observed as Namjoon and Hoseok tried to explain their plan but the others were too caught up in their panic that they didn't let them speak. After letting this happen for a few minutes, Jungkook let out a soft sigh and walk towards Hoseok and Namjoon, and stood in between them, facing all the others. Jungkook cleared his throat, garnering everybody's attention immediately which surprised Jungkook, making him blush a bit.

"U-umm... I think that we should do it. Namjoon and Hoseok wouldn't propose this plan if they didn't make sure it's somewhat safe." Hoseok put a hand around Jungkook's waist and sent him a thankful smile.

"We promise that we thought of this long and hard. We came up with a good plan and we know we'll be successful." Hoseok affirmed cheerfully. The others hesitantly sat back down and Jungkook smiled brightly. Jungkook moved to go back to his chair, but Hoseok pulled him by the waist and made him sit on his lap.

"Is this okay?" Hoseok whispered in his ear, making Jungkook swallow hard and nod fast. Hoseok chuckled darkly at the eager reaction and Jungkook squeezed his legs together. When he finally registered that they weren't alone, he looked around to see everybody looking at him with a dark gaze. The tension seemed to build and Jungkook could feel himself flush down to his collarbones. They were broken out of this moment when his stomach growled, making him blush darker. The others lightly chuckled and Jungkook almost let out a breath of relief at the dissipating tension.

"Okay here is the plan," Namjoon started.

After tracking Jae-Seong for a couple of days, they were finally able to set a time and date for the mission to take place. Demon will be the one to sneakily take Jae-Seong's phone while Mask and Angel distract him by using light and darkness to confuse him. Avatar, Swift, Taint, and Lady will stay on the side in case something goes wrong.

The day of the mission, Jungkook woke up early at 5 am since they needed to intercept Jae-Seong during his morning run at 7 am. Jungkook wore black leggings, a soft gray shirt and put his hair half-up half-down. After quickly looking at himself in the mirror, he ran to his car and drove to the meeting spot.

"Oh, bubbles..." Jungkook muttered under his breath when he arrived and noticed he was the last one there. It seemed like nobody was mad and angry so he sighed in relief. He parked his car and when he climbed out, the six turned to look at him. Oh boy~ Jungkook thought as his heart skipped a beat. The sun was in the early stages of rising and was behind the boys. The light made them shine, complimenting their already glowing looks. Jungkook suppressed a sigh of awe at the beautiful sight.
