A Remedy, A Melody

CHAPTER 19: EPILOGUE

~~~~2 YEARS LATER~~~~

"Yeong be careful!" Jungkook heard right before he felt a small body crash into his leg, threatening to make Jungkook fall.

"Sowwwwwy!" A cute high pitched voice answered. Jungkook looked down and smiled at the sight of the small boy smiling cutely at him. Jungkook turned around, careful of not hurting Yeong who was still attached to his leg and waved at his mother.

"Hey! How are you?" The healer asked receiving a tight smile from the mother.

"I'm good! I'm so sorry I can't talk longer but I'm actually late for work," Her brows were furrowed in regret and Jungkook could see how stressed she was.

"No worries! I'll see you this afternoon!"

"Thank you so much! Love you Yeong!" She yelled as she fast-walked out of the flower shop. Jungkook looked down at the small boy and couldn't help but chuckle at the cutie. His face was smashed against Jungkook's leg and he looked at him with childlike wonder. Jungkook bent down to grab him, and Yeong immediately put his hands up and waited for the healer to carry him.

"So what do you want to do today?" Jungkook asked joyfully, bouncing the small boy in his arms to make him smile.

"Flowews!" He giggled as he pointed to Jungkook's bouquet-making station.

"Flowers it is!" Jungkook answered with a giggle. He looked at the small boy in his arms and couldn't help but reminisce.

It had been two years since the day Jungkook woke up and things had changed ever since.

Right when he woke up, The others took him to the hospital at the Hero Headquarters to make sure everything was good. When he got cleared, immediately he was jumped by Taehyung and Jimin who showered him with kisses. That night was one that Jungkook would never forget.

They built a fort in his apartment, putting fairy lights on the sides to make the mood sweet. Jungkook was in the middle of the fort, surrounded by the men he so dearly loved when they all decided to confess to Jungkook. Jungkook came out of that night with a puffy face because he cried so much and six new boyfriends who swore to love him and protect him for as long as they could.

Quickly after they all got together, they decided to move in together. They bought the 2 apartments next to Jungkook's and did a lot of construction to make the three apartments into one. They also extended the flower shop to make it much spacier.

Jungkook also chose to work at the flower shop full-time, a decision that the others fully supported. He still went to hospitals to help really hard cases but other than that, he remained low key.

The others, however, decided to continue their work. Namjoon, Taehyung and Jin joined the Hero Association, teaming up with Yoongi, Jimin and Hoseok. The six of them were adored by the country and had saved more lives than Jungkook could count (and they also almost died more times than Jungkook could count which resulted in a sulking Jungkook who gave them the silent treatment).

Life was good and three months after waking up, Jungkook was called by the parents of the baby healer. It was that day that Jungkook met little Yeong, a happy little boy who screamed with happiness when he first caught sight of Jungkook.

The parents wanted their child to be trained and to be taught how to use his gift for the good. This led to Jungkook being Yeong's babysitter as both parents work full-time. Yeong and Jungkook had a bond like no other and Jungkook couldn't wait to train him properly. Of course, Jungkook still had to talk to the parents first since healer training at a young age is centred around becoming immune to poisons, a painful but essential process.

Jungkook would first need to collect the poisons and make sure to give the proper doses. This could take a couple of months and-

"Hey Baby," Taehyung said as he back hugged Jungkook, breaking him from his reminiscing.

"How was work?" Jungkook asked as he cut off the thorns off of roses and gave the safe roses to Yeong who was putting them in a water bowl as carefully as a toddler can.

"Busy," Taehyung grunted, putting his head down so that he could kiss Jungkook's neck. This action wasn't well-received by Yeong who threw a rose at Taehyung's head.

"Yeong!" Jungkook said in shock as Taehyung and he looked at the child with wide shocked eyes.

"Mine!" Yeong ordered with a frown, making him look even cuter. Taehyung's jaw dropped in surprise at the possessive baby while Jungkook just laughed and took him in his arms.

"Well that's a pretty sight," Jungkook heard from in front of him. He looked up to see the five others looking at them fondly.

"Mes Amours, how was your day?" Jungkook asked softly, his voice full of love and happiness.

"Even better now," Jin flirted as he winked, still being able to make Jungkook blush.

"It is a pretty sight though," Yoongi agreed with Hoseok who had said it originally. The five of them walked closer to the trio and each kissed Jungkook.

"Maybe one day this can be full-time?" Namjoon proposed with a gentle smile, eyes full of dreams and wonder, thinking about the possibility of them having their own child. Jungkook looked around at all the men he loved and observed their faces that seemed to look at Jungkook and Yeong together with such fondness and hope.

"Maybe," Jungkook whispered back shyly, blocking his thoughts from Namjoon. Namjoon realized this and chuckled fondly at the healer who he assumed hid his thoughts because he was embarrassed.

He wrongly assumed as Jungkook smirked slightly as he thought of the adoption pamphlet in his bag.

Maybe that one day will come sooner than expected, Jungkook mused as he smiled easily. He knew that these are the men that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, that these are the men that he wants to start a family with. They gave him a remedy to his lonely and painful life, and now he is able to sing his own melody and live for himself. So why wait?

A very cheesy and fluffy end, but if you've read my stories, you know that I love tooth-rotting fluff! 

I hope I was able to make all of you smile throughout this journey and that I was able to make all of your Sundays a little bit brighter!

I am currently working on a new project, but since I have exams for the next two weeks, I probably won't publish it until a few weeks. However, if I do find the time, I might write one-shots related to either this story or my other story "Why Negotiate When You Can Conquer" so please let me know if you have any ideas or prompts!
