Alexia's pov

I don't remember much of yesterday because I did sleep most of it away. However waking up the next morning is something I'm regretting immensely.

"What's wrong Alexa? I can see the pain in your face." Mom says.

"My muscles hurt more and my head really hurts. My nose feels really runny and I'm super hot."

She places a hand on my forehead and a look of worry crosses her face, "You're burning up babygirl."

"I don't want to go to the doctor." I say.

"You've got to go Alexa. We need to figure out what it is and get you on medicine before it becomes worse."

"I'm not changing." I decide.

"That's fine. You're in clothes that you can go out in." She says.

Dad walks into the room and mom turn her head to him, "She's worse than she was yesterday."

"I figured, she's got an appointment at nine. I went ahead and scheduled one for her this morning." He says.

I really hate the stupid doctors office. I don't get why it takes as long as it does there. I'm miserable there.

Dad feels my head and I stare up at him tiredly, "You're definitely warmer than you were yesterday. Do you feel worse?" He asks and I nod.

"Can you try and eat something this morning Alexa?" Mom asks.

I shake my head which results in a look of disapproval from my mom, but she doesn't say anything. I guess shes going to let it slide because I'm sick. Or maybe she already knows I don't want to go to the doctor so doesn't want to add a meal on top of the misery pile.

"Am I staying with Brooklyn and Caleb?" Dad asks.

"No, I will, I can't afford to get sick from Alexa since I feed them both. I don't want them to get sick. Plus I need to feed them and I'm sure you'll both be there a while." Mom says.

"Don't remind me." I whine.

"Sorry babygirl."

I don't get to lay in my bed much longer after that sentence due to the travel time to the doctors off. So I was forced out of my bed about 45 minutes after that sentence.

"Alright I'll keep you updated." Dad says to mom.

"Please." She says.

Dad puts a hand on my back as we walk out of the front door and I painfully and tiredly walk to his car.

When I get into the passenger seat my dads already started the car and is buckled up. I close my car door and slowly get buckled not liking now anything I do adds more pain to my body.

"We can listen to your music if you'd like." He says.

"I don't have my phone, I left it."

"Do you want me to go get it quickly?" He asks.

"No, I don't need it." I say.

He nods before backing out of the driveway, "If you get bored, I'll let you use mine."

I'll probably be far too tired to even want to use a phone. I see myself actually sleeping in the waiting room and being so tired in the actual room that unless they have to do vitals do a test I'll be sleeping. Because I'm that tired today.

The car ride was silent, but I managed to stay awake for that. Once we get there, I follow behind my dad slowly, "Do we need to walk slower?" He asks.
