Meanwhile...
Back in the club, a young Latino who had seen everything, made a call to his boss
'Hola Jefe. Listen, Manny didn't sell the products, he got jumped by the vigilante cabrón. Manny is the third guy to get el ojo mal this week. What are we gonna do Jefe?'
The voice on the other end of the call answered, 'and why didn't you sell the products if that idiot couldn't?'
'I should've, but the policia got here real quick, I didn't want to get caught while the five-oh were inside asking questions! By the time they left with Manny, they also confiscated the products,' said the young thug nervously.
In a fit of rage the voice yelled, 'hijo de puta! Must I do everythin' myself?! Listen, meet me at the train station while I call in a favour.'
'What kind of favour Jefe?' the thug asked curiously.
The boss ended the call, 'you'll see for yourself.'
Downtown Underground Train Station –A few hours later, the novice thug was waiting near the station as he was ordered to. That is when a tall, chubby figure emerged from the escalator. The gangster immediately recognised his piercings and tattoos, and his signature knuckle rings.
'Jefe Raymundo?' he said with surprise.
'Kid, relax you did as you were told,' said Raymundo. He observed his surroundings for suspicious onlookers, 'were you followed?'
'Umm no Sir,' the thug replied nervously.
'Then there is nothin' ta worry about, ok ese?' said Raymundo. He towered over the young thug, 'as leader of Los Lobos, I'm goin' ta make sure that the vigilante pays for what he has done to our business.'
'Perdóname Jefe, but what was that favour that you were talking about earlier?' the thug asked.
The cartel leader was suddenly reminded by what he meant, 'oh that... let's just say that if we're gonna deal with the vigilante, we have ta play fire with fire, so I called in a bruja ta help us.'
'I'm sorry Jefe but did you say "bruja"?' the thug curiously asked.
'You heard right cabrón, a genuine witch, I called her to meet us here,' said Raymundo.
The subordinate was still not sure about believing whether witches existed, as he had never seen a real one up close. Just as the cold of the late night creeped in, the station slowly filled with an eerie fog.
'Are you sure we're suppose to meet the bruja here..?' his attention turned towards the fog which had slowly surfaced, 'uh... where did this fog come from?'
'This is no fog, the witch is here, she just loves ta make a big entrance,' Raymundo stated confidently. As the fog collected itself into a singular form, the fog surrounding the station vanished, leaving it clear as the starry night sky. In the place of the mist, emerged a young girl dressed in black rags, harem pants, fishnet sleeves and a raggedy black hooded cloak shrouding her face. Her skin as delicate and white as snow, short raven-coloured hair covering half of her face, a tattoo on her belly, piercings on her nose and ears, and eyes that radiated the colour of the ocean.
The young thug had finally seen a witch close enough to shock him to his core, 'ay dios santos! They do exist!' The witch directed a raised eyebrow at Raymundo.
'Ignore him girl, he's just a subordinate who probably never saw a real magic trick in his life,' Raymundo rolled his eyes. The cartel boss got close enough to shake hands with the witch to begin their business arrangement.
