Minutes before the radio call –
Officer Lopez and the elusive Officer Frost entered the precinct, completely unaware that the entire facility was about to be swarmed by every gang member of every criminal organisation that operated in the city.
Officer Lopez briefly asked, 'so Officer Frost, tell me a little bit more about yoursel--' but was cut off when suddenly, he noticed the doors behind him were almost at breaking point as he spotted a few thugs ramming the door with their own brute force.
Officer Lopez's first response to a situation like this was to call for additional backup to help barricade the doors, but as there wasn't any time to act on it, his new response was to defend himself and Officer Frost. The other cops followed his lead, reacting similarly.
'Where did they all come from?!' asked Officer Frost, looking confused and startled.
'I'm guessing they may all be from downtown? I'm not sure how they found out we were keeping Darksun here, but if they want him so badly, we're not gonna give him to them,' Officer Lopez responded.
The gangsters burst through the doors and began to attack both cops and any individuals within the complex. The chaos erupted as cries of rage above the screams of horror. It was enough for Darksun to hear all the commotion. Numerous representatives of the Triad, Yakuza, mafias and cartels began to overpower and outnumber the police.
'There appears to be too many of them, what do we do?' despite trying to maintain her composure, Officer Frost was clearly distressed.
In an act of desperation Officer Lopez radioed in Commissioner Burton, 'Mayday, Mayday, officers in need of assistance ASAP... does anyone copy?!'
'Burton here Officer, what's the situation out there?'
'This is Lopez Sir and we're pretty much in thick water here, there are several gangsters from all known criminal organisations from the downtown area. They're all trying to get upstairs, we got a few officers down in need of medical assistance, me and Officer Frost here are on our way up to defend the rooms.'
'Negative on that Officer, the last thing you want is to lure them to where they want to go. Find shelter and stand your ground while Detective Reyes and I come down to find you, do you understand?' Burton commanded Lopez; he opened the radio signal to all channels, 'attention all officers on patrol: we need you to return to base as we are compromised and in need of dire assistance, no questions asked, that's an order!'
As Burton prepared to go in to assist the other officers, Mia prepared herself to assist her chief.
'Tell Jake that he has to stay inside and guard our guest!' Mia ordered a nervous Steve as she left, rushing with Burton to stop the riots.
Steve managed to send a text to Jake explaining the situation as quickly as he could, Riot at the Precinct, protect our guest.
Jake was now unsure of how to respond but he reacted quickly by making the sure the door was locked.
'What's going on downstairs Jake?' asked Darksun.
'There's a problem downstairs and they've asked me to stay here and keep an eye on you, nothing to worry about though,' Jake replied.
Though not truly convinced by the explanation, Darksun shrugged. While Jake wasn't looking, he was secretly picking the locks on the handcuffs to his wrists.
Jake continued, 'for all that I know right now is that Commissioner Burton went downstairs to contain the situation so that you remain secure--'
Out of nowhere, Darksun grabbed him from behind and held one of his concealed daggers near his neck, 'you do know, I'm not entirely convinced by that bullshit Jake.'
