The Next day at Dawn –
'Wake up Jake, you've been asleep for hours,' a voice said to the drowsy police officer. Jake awoke surprised on the mattress in the underground bunker.

'Damn, I was hoping last night was all a bad dream and I was still in my apartment,' he said as he remembered where he was now after he spotted Darksun in the doorway.

'Sorry to disappoint you, but we all know how reality sucks,' said Darksun.

'So how are you feeling this morning?' Jake asked.

'Oh, I've been through worse before, but I feel much better than last night. So, I'm completely healed now,' Darksun quickly answered.

'Well that's good to hear buddy,' said Jake as he yawned from exhaustion, 'so where are Ricky & Echo?'

'Ah... well knowing their habits, they'd probably be at a soup kitchen by now getting a free meal,' said Darksun when he added, 'speaking of meals are you hungry? Because I do happen to know a good sushi bar over in Little Tokyo that serves a good meal.'

'Wait a minute, sushi for breakfast?' Jake asked, confused by what he had just heard.

'Heh heh, relax Jake, it's not as weird as you think. Come on I'll show you,' Darksun responded with a little laugh.

A few moments later after leaving the sewers, Darksun lead Jake towards Little Tokyo during a hectic morning rush in Downtown LA. He kept his face hooded and was sporting uniquely coloured sunglasses.

'So, what's with the shades, I thought you had improved sight?'

'These are UV-blocking lenses, we do have great sight, but our eyes can be sensitive to direct ultraviolet sunlight. It also explains the purple colouring,' Darksun explained.

'Really, is that true about your eyes?' asked Jake curiously.

Darksun elusively avoided more questions, for he was too occupied trying not to get caught before they got to Little Tokyo. But he did sense the aura of someone he recognised from last night.

'Let's keep moving, we're almost there,' he told Jake.

'What's all the rush Darksun?' asked Jake, just as he caught up to his old friend.

'Let's just say the witch from last night is following us, so I advise you to not pay attention to her presence behind us,' Darksun tipped off Jake.

Jake then noticed a mist of black smoke on the roof that kept following their every move.

'So how exactly do we lose her?' enquired Jake.

'Simple really, we just use a shortcut to cut her off our path,'

Darksun replied. Darksun and Jake entered an old alleyway which happened to be in the right direction towards Little Tokyo.

On the rooftops, Wiccary materialised after losing track of them, but she regained sense of their presence heading towards the well-known downtown neighbourhood.

'You won't get away from me that easily!' Wiccary said to herself as she vanished into smoke blowing towards her targets.

Little Tokyo Karp Sushi Bar –

It was three years ago when Yakuza-related crime was stamped out in this beautiful Japanese-American neighbourhood.

Despite the improvements, one location was still rundown and nearly worn out with its fading colours, but the recognisable fish mascot shown on the restaurant banner let the residents know that it was still open for business.
