Chapter Two-                                                                                                                                                                        "Rainfall "

___

"Look at that. It's already begun to rain."

Considering its still mid-Summer, rain is unexpected.                                                                                          "An, Where's Magnolia?"

Magnolia?

"She...Didn't tell you?"

That's strange, "Didn't tell me what? Did something happen?"

Just as I questioned, one of our fellow guards entered the room. It was Sebastian. He's told to be patrolling us at all times. He only just came back from his homeland, Germany.

"Did you have fun? You were gone for so long, and you didn't even bring me a present." I said sarcastically. "I brought sweet cherries."

My face lit up.

The cherries from Germany are the best! His grandmother nurtures them in their garden every Harvest so he can deliver some back.                                                                                                                      This year, they tasted even better.

Sebastian's a loyal guard to this county, but a big brother to me. With his jet black hair and sophisticated style, he's practically like a baron. "Heavy rain in midst of Summer, I didn't know the skies disliked my return." He grunts, almost knowing it's impossible. Everyone loves Sebastian, he's pretty popular with the ladies and the baronesses.

I tilt my face downward while keeping my eyes on him. I try to look full of sadness but before I can, he exclaims "No-". I

I almost pout. "Just for a short while?" He tries changing the subject. I don't pay any interest. I just want to play outside in the rain.

"You know, you're clever." His forest eyes sparkle.

"I know," I sneer. "Magnolia suggested you should get ready before time misdeeds."

I guess I have no other choice.

I walk across the hall hoping no one notices. The ground appears compelling, almost like there's no distinct sound here except for my breathing, and every step I take. I feel alone. My thoughts agree.

It all disappears when the door to my bedroom opens, before I can reach to unlock it.

I peek inside.

And to my surprise, there's someone there.
