Part two | Chapter Thirty-

"Unfamiliar truth"

___

The truth is hidden. Strange, and unknown. It is an untold story no one is aware of. One truth is one lie, when a thousand lies is one truth. The truth Anastasia was told, led to her life turning upside down. She was asked once, "The world, is it worth fighting for?".

"Yes."

As the day came, she turned unaware of her own being, disappeared for a period of time, before forming into another's identity. A reincarnation, one body, belonging of two souls. The ability of Time itself, forgetful of a past once existed. Deemed of a life once acknowledged, once solitary. Alex is remote to herself, unaware of the voice inhabiting inside her, taking over her sanity. As much as it took, as long as it lasted, she wasn't ready for what came alongside her story.

The world fears what it doesn't understand. Some fear blinding light far more than suffocating oblivion. Not between us, but between ourselves do we finally concede the truth we hold, just enough to be noticed. All we can prophesy of its true form is like the light beneath the wave; the time beneath the stars. The formality as to princess Anastasia, its range didn't extend to someone like Alex. But freedom like Alex's wasn't handed to Anastasia at the time. She didn't have a choice, among her and her family, she felt a long reach amidst real admiration. Her disappearance that day has always, been nothing; compared to the sacrifice of that massive destruction. The day it all fell apart, no one had it coming. Moreover, it was all predetermined as to her fate, the reason; no one knows. The day all was gone, everything, but her.

Nothing was left in the end, still, the endless flames flared as the night caught up. All that was left, the torment of the ground, withered into black. All that was left, the bodies, the unfortunate- failed to reach the world above. All that was left, her passing soul, a dust of ash left in the dirt. Embers of a forgotten tale were all anyone could retrieve, no one to this day has of any proven piece of wreckage. Though the times were of Medieval, the ability to travel through time subsisted through the Middle Ages. Not by physics, but plain prophecy. Spells, seals, and magic, the most used of all. It was considered a required ability, thought through generations of originating a wiser ordeal. As the times developed, people arose more to the higher practicals of existence on Earth, soon, magic was a forgotten skill. Just like that, nothing was left of it, similar to the case of Anastasia Patterson.

The objective of being ambushed in her own home, betrayed, she failed to learn the skills of magic. For she had not deserved the prophecy of her future, she was given a form to take over. But she chose not to until it was necessary. Alongside her, was Travis. They grew an unfamiliar bond amongst themselves, willing to sacrifice anything for each other.
