Chapter Twenty-five-
"An illusion"
___
She's running forward. Her leaping skirt crosses her legs while she breathes heavily. It's her. I somehow feel the exhaustion as she begs for strength in order to keep going. A memory so fond, she fails to forget. And these illusions appointed to her while she tries to escape them. It can't be helped. She was a hero, someone I could never be. There's no evidence this is true. So why do I avoid my emotions? Why is it so hard to grasp the truth? Where's the integrity in this? I'm nothing compared to her, I'm just the ugly truth. I'm nothing. But...
It feels she's always there. Like she's sitting inside of me, crouched behind my subconscious. Listening... My head hurts-. It's like a painful unfolding down my skull. Like somebody had just struck a cricket ball through my head, it was unbearable. It just took a few more seconds until I couldn't hold it. Though... It sounded like steps of a vexatious race. All crossing my head. Unfolding through the heavy breathing and urging for strength. Make it all stop... It's hard... to- breath... Surprisingly, I still had the strength to cry. I'm afraid- I'm afraid of this darkness. No... I'm afraid of what appears inside it. What peers from the corners, the depths of their stares. They say I'm at fault, they say I'm vain. But what have I ever done?
Huff, huff... I continue to vastly cry as I sink deeper into the blackness. How I wish to see Kim and mom and dad... Blackout. I think... I'm back. I think it's over. I see a rim of light as I open my eyes. It's not completely come to mind, but I feel good to be back again. I'm back home. I rethink to mind, hoping I didn't lose memory of coming back here. I think hastily of the day before, and the day before that... Only it's not the same.
10:14. 2014-05-20--
This is the day I moved in, the day I turned 15.
I'm back... I'm way back. This isn't what I remembered, this is definitely-. I'm back to that day, I'm back in time.
