Part two | Chapter Thirty-three-
"Leap"
___
Often certain things are brought an extended length, certain things are brought higher than seem. And to vindicate my want to escape, was beyond any distance or corruption. My penury lived never unspoken. Of course, now, it didn't matter, and by a matter of time, it awaited itself within minutes.
Just enough to seek one window, one story, one's fabrication. But only one thing was not clear- how long.
How long will my sufferings last, my dear?
No, this is no time to accumulate tensions of law. No time to wander the city's unity, Alex. No time to be talking to yourself, I latch, my eyes roll in stupidity.
Will tomorrow be in the safety of a home? How far can I possibly go back?- Rather, how much farther can I go into the present- or future-, whatever it is that seemed already lived. Just bring me back already, what more could fall. Suspense? is that it? Or is there a little more time until time unfolds its memorial? All that and I stood on the veiled rooftop, remaining put to deem my life.
As you would expect, a girl is not to be questioned if her life would be at stake for anything. But frankly, I'm not a girl, at least in my case. I must be some kind of mystic spirit, am I wrong? I mean, being able to unhurriedly pass through time like it's your damn alarm, is- not so prevalent is it now?
Persistence, throughout every long jump, every house risen by, don't look. You will scare yourself. I've lost my track, and now my belief. And mama, papa,-
Kim.
Two years from then, now she would be...
Dying.
My chest plummeted, sudden cramping overlapped the loud throbs, and suddenly there's no time left. No time left, I have to see her!
Kim, oh Kim, please. Please... I looked across the ample Broadways, though not so broad with cars and trucks bumping through each other's range, violently scurrying. And the lights flashed, faintly evident and bulging at on and off's pulse. At first, I had thought of waking up, the thought of it all being unreal. Simply wake up, this is all just a bad dream.
Birds crumpled, displaying a building that shone from its bold scheme. Bustling trucks arrived, and finally, the loud crimson light.
That's where she was. That's where she shouldn't have been, she never should have come here, ever. But I had to get off. Only narrow slopes, dropping knees, just that.
And then, a carriage.
Firm enough to hold me on top, of course, without being seen. Without a single idea, my legs walked themselves. And I had just leaped onto the blade of the rooftop I stood, ignoring my skepticism.
The carriage had opened up its creases, letting the four spiraled corners of the roof sealed and firmly ironed. I'm guessing there are banks under this layer of textile, contrarily, it wouldn't be likely to carry me on top otherwise. I nearly vaulted myself off-board and barely yanked my hands on the rim of the golden bars before I could analyze my delusion.
I pushed my fears away, I'm not letting them in. I know I can hear her shrieks, her sweet laments, and rapt lullabies, while she sits rehearsing her words, hands over her head, the world at her feet. I feel burning responses as the road passes, diligently spanning while a girl rests over-top a carriage. Cuts, bruises, and bleeding wounds.
My hair flaps over my back as the carriage changes lane, over doubt, I'm able to center my following conveyor, and aloft the striking ache coursing through my body, only made it sane.
I'm almost there, Kim.
