Dean walked into his first hour, his music to full volume. He was mouthing the words to the song, fearful he might forget the lyrics in the middle of his audition. The likelihood of this actually happening was slim to none, but Dean feared it anyway. Especially after that disaster this morning with his sister. He scowled at the memory as if the memory of his sister alone had crushed his mood. Which, considering how big of a bitch Hannah was, it sort of had. Dean dropped into his desk, pulling out his notebook and a set of pens.
"Do not fear, the future president is here," a dramatic voice said as Dean turned down the volume on his headphones. He rolled his eyes as his best friend slid into the seat next to him, yawning. "I didn't get nearly enough sleep last night. I was up all night making Prom posters."
"It's February, Gabe," Dean said as he pulled his headphones off completely.
"I know, but I want to be ready early this year, considering I'm the head of the Prom committee, which means that if the dance is amazing, everyone will vote for me next year for senior class president," Gabriel explained.
"I don't get why you want to be president so badly. I think it sounds like a ridiculous amount of responsibility," Dean said.
"Why do you want to be the lead in the musical?" Gabriel asked.
"Because I'm an actor, Gabriel. I want to act," Dean said.
"Exactly," Gabriel said. Dean blinked at Gabriel, largely unamused as he sipped out of his water bottle.
"I don't get you," Dean huffed. His response to Gabriel was cut off by the door opening and a boy with dark hair and gorgeous blue eyes walked in. Dean choked on his water and started coughing.
"Real smooth, Deano," Gabriel whispered.
"Shut the fuck up, Gabriel," Dean huffed. "He's your brother."
"Yeah, and a total asshat. He was out last night till super late, which meant that my other poor brother didn't get any sleep," Gabriel sighed.
"Oh, yes, because Lucifer sleeps so much anyway," Dean argued.
"Okay, fair," Gabriel agreed. "But he was out and...." Gabriel trailed off and looked around them. "You know I hate gossiping," Gabriel said. Dean laughed out loud until Gabriel slammed his hand over Dean's mouth. "Shut up! What I'm trying to say is that I heard from a couple of people that Hannah was there."
"My sister?" Dean whispered. Gabriel nodded. As if summoned, the door opened and Hannah stalked in. Somehow, she was wearing the same stripper-worthy outfit as that morning and had even added a ridiculous amount of eyeshadow and fake lashes.
"Damn, she looks like she's going for a RuPaul look, and failing horribly," Gabriel chided, clicking his tongue.
"You're so fucking gay," Dean whispered.
"Says you!" Gabriel whispered back. Hannah looked around the room, and then say Castiel, turned around in his chair and talking to Crowley, who was the star of the football team. They had a strange friendship that, as far as Dean could tell, survived off of mutual benefit more than anything.
"Hey, Tye," Hannah said, as she put her hands down on Castiel's desk and leaned forward, making her cleavage evident. Castiel met her eyes.
Dean was a sucker for a gentleman.
"Hey Hannah," Castiel said. Hannah smirked and then leaned forward, grabbing Castiel's tie and kissing him right on the lips.
"Holy fuck!" Dean whisper-yelled, ready to get out of his seat. Gabriel grabbed his arm.
