Castiel walked out of his English classroom, ducking his head and attempting to make it to his locker without running into anyone he didn't want to see. Ever since his abrupt coming out to the school, and his brother's outing via TTG, Castiel's life had been close to hell. But, there had been some good that came out of all of it.
"Tye!" Hannah's voice called from the classroom. And part of that good had been not having to deal with Hannah. Clearly, that hadn't lasted long. He turned and saw that she was standing in the doorway, wearing a decent length skirt and her standard white button-up tucked in. She looked sincere. Castiel didn't trust it.
"What?" he asked as he walked back to her. She narrowed her eyes and stared at him.
"I just don't get it. You had everything. And you threw it away for what?" she asked. Castiel blinked at her. Had she really called him over there just to lecture him on his social life decisions?
"I don't know, in the name of being an authentic and sincere person. I got tired of pretending," he said, rubbing his forehead. "Can I go now?"
"I just...you know, if you want I can fix this for you," she said.
"Fix...fix what?" Castiel asked.
"Your reputation. I can fake a mental break, my mom is a therapist, a couple of appointments with her, and everyone will believe that you just couldn't handle the stress. Plus with your dad..." she started.
"Don't talk about my dad," Castiel snapped. "You have no idea about my family."
"Look, your dad is not around. Both of your older brothers are gay. You might just be confused, struggling with your sexuality..." Hannah smiled. "Maybe you just need a woman to show you just how much she can do for you." Castiel's eyes went wide in horror.
"Oh, no. No, no, no. First off," Castiel whispered. "I'm not having sex with you. Ever. Also, I said don't talk about my family. My brothers and my dad are none of your business."
"It was just an offer, Tye. Let me know if you change your mind," she said. Castiel blinked at her.
"I won't. Change my mind, that is. And my name isn't Tye," he said before turning and walking down the hallway. He pulled out his phone, opening up the Through The Grapevine app and avoiding looking at the recent newsfeed. He didn't need to know what people were saying about him or his brother. Poor Lucifer was getting it bad too since he was the only one not officially out. And he didn't seem like he was about to throw himself out of the closet, not that Castiel judged him. The closet, although confining, could also be warm, and comfortable and safe from such things as your locker being egged. Which is, unfortunately, what Castiel found when he got to his locker.
"Fuck me," he huffed. Good thing he had what he needed in his bag. He wasn't about to touch his locker now.
He looked down at his phone and went to his private inbox. It was sort of fun, having an anonymous platform to talk about whatever one wanted. He had quite a few fun conversations with random people whose identities he would never find out. Not that interesting conversation was a good way to describe the year-long friendship he had with the mysterious Shotgun_Shells_And_Car_Engines.
Rebel_With_A_Cause: Okay, today has officially been the worst day of my life.
Shotgun_Shells_And_Car_Engines: Worse than when you got in a fistfight, broke your nose, and then got the flu? Cuz that was a pretty bad day.
Rebel_With_A_Cause: Okay, so maybe not that bad. But it's been pretty bad.
Shotgun_Shells_And_Car_Engines: Sounds like someone needs a hug.
