Alfie was unaware before how tall Adam was. He was also unaware of how small this closet was, and he was now caught between desperately wanting to escape and wanting to be exactly where he was. And where he was could only be described as in a very, very tough position. Adam had one hand pressed to the wall behind Alfie, their bodies touching at basically every possible point because the space was so small and it didn't seem like Lucifer had cleaned out this closet in years.
"So this gives us a good chance to talk," Adam mumbled.
"Yeah, sure," Alfie said. "Perfect opportunity."
"You act like you hate me sometimes," Adam said, knitting his brows. "I feel like you don't want me here, for whatever reason..."
Alfie wasn't even sure why he did what he did next. All he knew was that one moment he was furious at his friends for shoving him in this closet with Adam, the next he was uncomfortable that Adam was hurt, and then two seconds later he was kissing the younger Milton brother.
Alfie wasn't going to lie.
He made horrible life decisions most of the time.
The only bonus was that Adam was, in fact, kissing him back. He had one hand tangled in Alfie's short hair, the other still on the wall behind him. Alfie had one hand on the side of Adam's face and the other one on his waist. He was making out with his best friend who he had met in person a total of maybe eight hours ago. Alfie was pretty sure he was an idiot.
"Okay, now I'm just super, super confused," Adam said, pulling out of the kiss.
"Not going to lie, so am I," Alfie laughed. "I thought you were a jerk."
"What do you mean, you thought I was a jerk?" Adam asked with a small laugh.
"You're tall and hot, and you were friends with the popular kids before I could even say...I don't know, Spirk," Alfie mumbled.
"You thought that I wanted to be friends with them over you?"
"No." Alfie paused and looked away. "Okay, maybe, but of course you would, they're cool and I'm..."
"Tiny. And adorable. And sweet. And a total dork," Adam said, leaning down to brush his nose against Alfie's. "And I've been waiting to kiss you for like, two years now."
"I'm so glad my friends are assholes and locked me in a closet with you," Alfie mumbled. Adam grinned.
"Have to say, so am I," Adam said, looking at his watch. "We still have three minutes. Wanna make out?"
"Hell yeah," Alfie said, pulling Adam back into another kiss.
Of course, three minutes goes by far too fast when you're making out with your best friend. Even worse, instead of having the decency to knock on the door, Claire pulled it open. Of course, Adam's tongue was in Alfie's mouth at that exact moment of time, so it made it very awkward for the entire group to witness.
"I hate you," Alfie said after stepping out of the closet with as much dignity as he could manage, trying to fix his wrinkled clothes and messy hair. He was glaring at all of his friends, but Adam was just grinning like an idiot.
"We all knew that was going to happen," Elliot said, waving a hand at the two. "Anyhow, I have to go."
"Me too," Claire said, standing up and pulling Kaia to her feet. "And I'm bringing her with me. You two have fun," Claire finished, kissing Alfie on the cheek and offering a fist bump to Adam. The three left and Alfie blushed, turning to Adam.
"So..." Alfie started.
"Want to play Wolfenstein?" Adam asked.
"Hell yes," Alfie agreed.
