Who's On Top?

Sam shoved Lucifer as they walked back to the older boy's car, Sam rolling his eyes at Lucifer's latest rant.

"No, I'm serious. I, as everyone knows, am very gay," Lucifer continued.

"If you mean by everyone me and your brothers, sure," Sam agreed while rolling his eyes.

"Okay, let me continue before you sass me," Lucifer snapped. "Okay, so you are also very gay, Sam Winchester."

"I don't know if being bi is considered very gay, but sure. And you know I lean toward girls. Like, by a lot. It takes a lot from a guy to have me interested," Sam said. Lucifer glared, which made Sam laugh. Or at least, he laughed on the inside. He wasn't going to let Lucifer know that he was annoying him on purpose.

"Still not my point, Sammy boy. My point, is that if you and I are gay, what's the real likelihood that anyone else is?" Lucifer asked.

"Michael is," Sam said, and then glanced over at Lucifer to see his friend's reaction. It didn't take a genius to catch the way that Lucifer would nervously look over at Michael, even while his cousin's head was shoved into a book or a sketchbook.

"Michael is gay according to rumors," Lucifer said. "Has he ever told you that to your face?"

"No, but he's sort of weird about the whole thing. My dad said that Michael's parents, his sister and brother-in-law, were sort of homophobic. So...I don't know, that just sort of is a sign," Sam said as they reached the car.

"Where are we going?" Lucifer asked.

"My house. I need tutoring or whatever," Sam huffed. He, in fact, didn't need tutoring. He knew exactly what he was doing. He had gone through and answered every single question on his AP Calculus exam right today. But then he had gone through, crossed out the right answer, and written a wrong one. It was his own form of protest against the system. Lucifer, surely, was not going to be thrilled about it.

"Okay, fine," Lucifer said, climbing into the driver's seat.

"We aren't done with this conversation about Michael," Sam said.

"Why not?" Lucifer asked.

"Because, it's not that hard to see you like him," Sam said.

"I don't like him. I haven't talked to him enough to like him. He seems to be avoiding me at all costs. Anytime I do talk to him, it's like talking to a brick wall," Lucifer said. He paused when he realized he had rambled, and then blushed. Sam burst into laughter, which only seemed to make his best friend even more mad at him.

"You so like him," Sam chuckled.

"Okay, fine, I think he's cute. But I doubt he's actually gay. You know how that happens. Quiet guys who don't like sports get labeled as queer, that doesn't mean he is," Lucifer said.

"But he totally is," Sam argued. He looked down at his phone as it buzzed.

Sugar <3: Hey, where are you?

Sam rolled his eyes and ignored the text as they pulled into the driveway of his house.

"You know who's here?" Lucifer asked as he climbed out of the car.

"Uh, I think Dean, Castiel, Gabriel, and Michael. So the whole Novak-Winchester gang," Sam said. He opened the front door and was automatically met with the sound of yelling.

"Oh, yes, because it's totally okay for you to make fun of my best friend!" Castiel yelled. Sam shot Lucifer a look, who shrugged. Apparently, he didn't know what was going on either.
