Strawberry Milkshake

Chapter 3

Toni's POV
Cheryl and the other serpents have been at Riverdale High for about a week now and god are they getting on my nerves. Especially red.

It's like everything she does is to annoy me. She puts her feet in my chair during class. She mocks me in the lounge. She flirts with all my friends. She just pisses me off.

Yet I just can't hate her and I don't know why. Yes she's extremely attractive but she's a serpent. And I don't like her at all... right?

I walk into the lounge and find her flirting with some chick on the cheerleading team. I roll my eyes and sit down on the couch.

Cheryl's friends Betty and Veronica walk in. The three of them start talking. I glance over at Cheryl and see she's looking at me, smirking. "Staring are we blossom?"

Cheryl smirks. "Depends. Do you want me to?" She winks. God that wink kills me. It gives me a weird feeling in my stomach.

"You wish Blossom." The bell rings. We walk to our class. I sit in my usual seat and Cheryl sits behind me. The teacher walks into the room.

"Alright. We are going to be working on a group project. So for the next two weeks you will be doing a book report and presentation with the partner I assigned you. The list is by the door."

I get up and walks to the list. I look at it 'please don't be cheryl' I think. I find my name and... "no..." I see I'm partners with Cheryl and groan

Cheryl smirks. "Guess you're gonna have to be spending a lot more time with me pinky." She winks. I groan and sit back in my seat. The teacher begins explaining the project. Cheryl taps my back. I turn and look at her.

"meet me at pops after school. we can start then." She whispers. I nod. These next two weeks are going to be hell.

I get to pops after school and find Cheryl already there, an untouched strawberry milkshake sitting on the table. I walks over. "hey."

Cheryl smiles softly. "Hi. I ordered you a milkshake. It might've a bit melted. You took a while." She smirks.

I roll my eyes. "School ended like ten minutes ago dumbass. And you know I got held back." Cheryl smirks.

"I know. I just like pissing you off. Anyways, book report. Which book are we doing?" The redhead asks me.

I shrug. "Not sure. To be honest I don't even know what books I own." Cheryl rolls her eyes.

"Why am I not surprised? Okay well I have a few ideas. You can just choose from those." The redhead pulls out a paper with a couple book names.

I read over the list. "Okay what about Eclipse?" I say, that being the only one I recognize. I take a sip of the milkshake Cheryl bought me.

Cheryl nods. "Alright. I don't have it right now but we can go back to my trailer and start?"

I shake my head. "No way. Not going to your house. Just being the book tomorrow. We can go to my house after."

Cheryl nods. She gets a text. "Sorry I have to go. Serpent shit. I'll see you at school topaz." And with that the redhead gets up and leaves.

I look down at the milkshake. "why was she being so nice..." I shrug it off.

I pay for my drink and leave to go home. What a weird day...
