Strawberry Milkshake

Chapter 16

Tonis POV

Tonight is the prom, and I'm excited. It's our senior prom, so it'll be great. All of the other proms have been sub-par, cause my girlfriends at the time sucked. But this year I'm going with Cheryl, who's the best girlfriend ever. 

Me and Cheryl made a promise of not seeing each other's dresses, but we told each other the colours so we'd match. I'm wearing a nice red dress, and Cheryl said she's going to wear a black dress. So, I got her a corsage with red flowers and she said she would get me a corsage with black flowers.

I pull up to her house and get out of the car.  I walk up to the door and knock nervously. She opens the door and my jaw drops. "wow..." I look her up and down. "You look... wow."

She giggles nervously. I look at her face and smile widely. "You're absolutely stunning... Oh uh here." I hand her the corsage. Cheryl smiles happily and thanks me. She hands me my corsage and I smile. "It's beautiful Cher."

Cheryl looks at me and smiles softly. "Beautiful corsage for my beautiful girlfriend." She says before kissing my cheek. I blush and smile widely.

"Thank you Cher... Okay now we gotta go before we're late. Veronica is texting me like crazy. I dunno why she isn't texting you but whatever floats her boat." I saw, causing Cheryl to laugh a little. God I love that laugh.

Cheryl and I walk over to my car. I open Cheryl's door for her. "M'lady." I say, causing her to giggle. Once shes in I close her door and get in the drivers seat. We put on our seatbelts and I start driving to the school.

We get to the school after a while. We get out and walk inside, getting our pictures taken. A few minutes later we look around for our friends. We see Veronica, Betty, Archie and Fangs all sitting together at a table. I lace my fingers with Cheryl and walk over to the group. "Hey Gays." I say, smiling. 

Veronica insists we all take pictures together, so the other four stand up and we take some pictures together. Once we're done with that we go out to the dance floor, Cheryl decides not to dance right away. I kiss her cheek. "If you need me I'll just be over there alright? I love you."

Cheryl smiles up at me. "I love you too babe. Go have fun." She giggles. I kiss her temple and then walk away to the dance floor. Our group dances together for a while. After a bit a slow song comes on. Everyone gets with their partners so I walk over to Cheryl.

"Hey. May I have this dance?" I hold out my hand to her and smirk. Cheryl smiles widely and nods. She takes my hand and we go to the dance floor. I wrap my arms around her neck, and she puts hers around my waist. "I love you so much Ma Cherie..." I say quietly.

Cheryl smiles widely. "I love you too Baby." She kisses my forehead. I sigh happily and rest my head on her shoulder. Once the slow song ends Cheryl joins the rest of our group as we dance.

"Alright! It is time to announce Prom King and Queen!" My friend Santana, who's in charge of the prom, yells. Everyone stops dancing and turns to look at the stage.

"This years prom queen candidates are... Toni Topaz, Veronica Lodge, and Peaches Cream! Please come up onto the stage." I kiss Cheryls cheek before walking up to the stage with Veronica. We look at Peaches and nod at her. "The prom king candidates are... Fangs Fogarty, Jughead Jones and Archie Andrews!" The boys walk up onto stage.

"Now.. The winner of Prom Queen is... Toni Topaz!" She yells. Veronica congratulates me while Peaches gives me a dirty look. I walk up to Santana, who places the crown on my head. "And this years prom king is..." She looks at the paper and raises an eyebrow. "Okay... with a huge number of write in votes, this years prom king is Cheryl Blossom."

A very confused Cheryl walks up onto the stage. Slowly, people start cheering. Cheryl gets her crown, and we walk down to start our first dance. Cheryl puts her hands on my waist and pulls me close, causing me to giggle. We start to sway to the song. "You did something to make this happen, didn't you?" She smirks.

I bite my lip. "I may or may not have secretly campaigned for you and made like half of the school vote for you." I laugh. Cheryl smiles widely.

"You amaze me Topaz..." She kisses me softly, and I kiss back. Every kiss with Cheryl feels as magical as our first kiss. People start to join in on the dancing, and the songs switch back to fast songs. Our group dances around. This is the best night I've ever had...
