Cheryl's POV
It's been 3 months since me and Toni's fight, and things couldn't be better. We hang out all the time, have fun little dates, and just enjoy each others company. Something is making me nervous though.
Our prom is next week, and Toni hasn't asked me yet. Prom has never been a big deal for me. I don't really care if we go. I've just heard about Toni's big asks for her last girlfriends. They were all Northsiders. I'm worried Toni thinks less of me because I'm a Southsider.
I hear a knock on my door and jump up off my bed. I walk to the door and see Toni. I smile widely. "Hey." She says, smiling. I let her inside. We go to my room and sit down. My room is fairly small.
I only have a twin bed, so cuddling is a struggle. Then I just have my dresser for my clothes and a shelf with books and my art stuff. Me and Toni sit down on my bed. I turn and look at Toni. "So what's with the surprise visit?" I say, smiling. It's Sunday, and I haven't seen her since Friday so I've missed her.
Toni smiles softly. "I just missed my amazing girlfriend." She kisses my cheek. "Hey, we've been together for almost 6 months. I think this is my third longest relationship now.."
I smile softly. "Well, it's my longest. You're lucky I've stuck around this long." I giggle. Toni smiles softly and nods in agreement.
Her phone buzzes so she looks at it. "No way. Fangs asked Archie to prom!? And he said yes..?" She looks at me.
I smile. "I knew it!" I bite my lip. "Uh so about the prom... you going?" Toni looks at me with a confused look.
"Yeah..? I thought that went without saying." She kisses my cheek. I sigh and nod. I'm honestly really upset that Toni didn't properly ask me. I know she hasn't been the biggest fan of Serpents in the past, and I'm worried that's something that she still thinks.
Toni doesn't seem to notice that I'm upset. We lay on my bed and watch some Netflix before Toni has to go. "I'll call you when I'm home alright?" I smile softly and nods. "I love you." She says.
"I love you too," I say before she walks out the door. I walk to my room and lay on my bed. I stare at the ceiling. After 25 minutes I hear my phone ring. I look at it and see Veronica is trying to call me. I pick up.
"Hey V. What's up?" I ask, sitting up. Me and Veronica haven't had the chance to hang out recently, as she's been helping Betty sort out some family stuff.
"Not much... Go outside for a minute." She says, confusing me. I get up and walk outside. I hear music playing.
"Hey uh I'm gonna call you back..." I say before hanging up. I look around, my eyes landing on Toni. She's standing, holding a huge sign I can't see because she's far away. I smile and walk over.
When I get closer, she turns off the radio she has beside her. I look at her and read the sign. I smile widely at it. The sign says "I know you hate prom, but how about we hate it together." I look up at her, with a huge smile on my face. "So..?" She says.
I nod and hug her tightly. "Of course..." She puts down the sign and hugs back. I bury my face in her neck. "I love you so much Topaz..." I kiss her softly.
She smiles and kisses back. "I love you too Blossom... I know you were upset about me not asking, and I'm sorry about that. But I kinda needed that so it would work." She says, a slight hint of nervousness in her voice.
I kiss her cheek. "It's perfectly fine Toni... god this is perfect... you're perfect."
I am so in love with this girl...
Alright so I know this is short... but prom next chapter!
